Swiss Pastries

I only hated their cannoli but other than that their food rocks. Today I introduced my friend to their food and she loved it! They have tons of food from Europe but I go their for their pastries.

I rushed into Swiss Pastries on my way to a night of teaching, needed something with some sugar to get me ready. I didn’t realize that there was such a display here. There were cakes, eclairs, and pastries of all kinds.
You can also get soups and sandwiches here. If I had been hungry I would have had a bowl of the curry soup, it smelled amazing. There is a wide variety of chocolate bars and cookies are sold also.
As I wandered back and forth along the display case, a patient worker followed me, to answer my various questions on the desserts. In the end I decided to choose something different from what I might normally have, so I got a slice of fruitcake. There are two varieties here: plain or with a layer of marzipan. I got the marzipan and wasn’t disappointed it had a great almond flavour. The cake was filled with dry fruit and just what I needed.
Of course I had a coffee too, which I was really impressed with. It even had the layer of crema on the top that I love.

Only been here once, but I’ll be going back. I can’t comment on the food overall, but their éclair that I had was delicious. If the rest of the food is as good as their éclair, then I’ll be happy. I can’t wait to go back.
