Amazing yummy healthy soups served with a fresh chunk of bread — doesn’t get any better! They tweet their location and menu almost daily but are also responsive to any twitter questions.
They change their options regularly so you need to go often to sample all the great things they offer!
Depending on where they are parked there may or may not be seating available — but such is the nature of a truly mobile food truck.

So wow — after all the build up I feel bad giving this truck a 3! But please understand, a 3 is A-​OK! I liked it, I just didn’t love it.
The food is high quality — often locally sourced and organic. Dahl soup was tasty, with just a hint of heat from the spice. Chicken taco filling was tasty but… and I think this is where I’m struggling… I am realizing that I really don’t like soft tacos. Something about the texture of the taco itself puts me off. I’m sitting here trying to decide if I’m being fair giving them a three because of my preference for taco shells. I guess what I’m saying is: take my review with a (proverbial) grain of salt.
Would love to see a garbage can and recycling bin put out. Since they are located on the UOttawa campus during school year, plan to bus/​walk to get there. (Parking is a pain during the week.) If you get off at Campus Station 2B, Sweetpea (the truck) is really close by. (Don’t take my word for it though — things change, so make sure you check on that.)
Staff was great. They have 2 tables and about 6 chairs for people who want to sit and eat for a bit.
Would I return: Yes. I’d love to go again when it’s not Taco Thursday, to try to get a different menu item.
Would I recommend: Yup — if you like healthy choices that are locally sourced and organic, this is a great option.

In all seriousness, I had a few bucks in my pocket last week and decided to try a chicken taco from here. I associate this place with soup and stews so I really wasn’t expecting that much from a taco. I was so wrong, and I love being wrong in those situations. THEY ARE SOOOOO GOOD.
I got the 3 taco meal which is about $ 11. This is a reasonable price seeing as they put so much in the tacos that it BARELY fits in the tortilla. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and one white refried bean one. After I ordered I thought «wait, why the hell did I order the refried bean I don’t even like refried beans»… So I was a bit angry with myself. However, I got home and tried the refried bean taco to be pleasantly surprised by how freaking delicious it is. Mango salsa, feta cheese and beans go together very well. The chicken is still my favorite. Lots of jalepenos, beautifully seasoned chicken, queso fresca or whatever its called and some sort of slaw on it.
I felt this was important to add: I had tacos at Sidedoor last week and these tacos blew them out of the water. More bang for your buck!
