I walk through the Rideau Centre way too often. So for the sake of convenience I decided to drop my prescriptions off here. I’ve been through 4 pharmacies in the Ottawa area and haven’t found one I’ve liked, back home I had a great pharmacist with friendly staff so I don’t understand why thats so hard to find here! I have a few issues with this pharmacy that explain why I’m switching next time I need a prescription. Firstly, the staff at this pharmacy are 50 – 50. There is an older lady that clearly has been doing her job for years and probably does a great job, but shes so rude and cold that whenever I see her working I think«oh… Great.» I feel like that shouldn’t really be the case. There is also a pharmacist that isn’t the nicest, I’ve only seen her a few times thankfully. The second problem I have with the pharmacy is the insane waiting time, it is never any less than 30 minutes. This generally does not work out for me because I just end up wandering the mall and buying stuff I don’t need. Some of the staff are really helpful though, whenever I have questions they are more than willing to help. I almost always have issues with my insurance and they’re very helpful with trying to figure out that whole mess.

I’ve been feeling pretty terrible today so decided I needed to pick up some supplies. This is the closest drug store to me so I went for a little walk and arrived here. The store looks pretty damn big from the outside but once you go in you realize that it’s not that big and that the cosmetics section takes up a large portion of the store. This store has all the essentials that you need from a drug store with a digital photo section as well. I didn’t use the photo section today but it’s available. The store seems to have a limited selection compared to some of the other Shoppers in town, especially comparing it to the Bank St one which is supposed to be the flagship store. The staff is pretty helpful but this place can get packed in no time.
