Almost 2 years after I vowed to never darken the doorstep of this store again, I found myself reluctantly visiting when the bitter cold descended on Ottawa and I didn’t want to make the trek to one of the other 2 Shoppers in the area. I was pleasantly surprised; it’s clear they’ve made an effort to improve. Though I was still met empty shelves on some sale items, most of what was on my list (a mix of beauty, health and food) was actually in stock and the food items weren’t old and nasty like they used to be. None of the staff seem to be the same as the last time I visited, and they were all very polite and helpful. Still not my favourite Shoppers (that would be the one at Westgate), but much better than it used to be. I will probably periodically visit this store when the weather’s nasty or I’m feeling lazy, since the main advantage is that it is very close to my house.

This is my favourite Shopper’s in the city.
The staff are all nice there, and the people in the pharmacy are more knowledgeable than any doctor I have ever seen in this city.
It’s kind of expensive though, in that I was going to by a refill for my Lysol No-​Touch Automatic Hand Soap System, and they were $ 7.29, while every other store is 5 $ or less. Although, this is probably true of all Shopper’s, so I can’t really hold it against them.
Still, Shopper’s got themselves the cheapest eggs :)
