Best Indian in Ottawa. I have tried them all! Ask for the chicken and eggplant curry, not on the menu. Amazing!

Very tasty; one very minor complaint about price. I got take-out: pappadum(tasty; crispy; not stale; not greasy); garlic naan(ended up eating it cold; very good!); veg. samosa(good; good flavor; a little on the small side, but very good flavor & texture); aloo gobi(perfect!). The aloo gobi was perfectly spiced; it was flavorful but not hot(spicy); it came without rice, which I’m not sure I needed. I have to say I am definitely satisfied: the food was delicious, the price was good and the portions were appropriate. I would definitely eat here again. My one concern is minor: the aloo gobi was 8 $ or 9 $, and you get one container for one serving. I would have loved more(per Oliver) or just a little rice to stretch the meal a little. Oh, and take-out took way less than ten minutes, and they gave me a free glass of water, which was great bcs I was walking and it was hot out. Very satisfied!

There are so many Indian restaurants on Rideau heading towards Montréal but I think Mukut is the best one of these. I think they make the best samosas I’ve had. Last time I was here I ordered a madras chicken, samosas, rice and naan. The madras chicken isn’t like the other types i’ve had, none of the other ones had any sort of veggie in it but Mukut’s does. It also had a lovely flavor. The samosas are a bit greasy but absolutely delicious, they come with a sauce I cant put my finger on. Only complaint is that it was definitely expensive. We ordered 2 orders of samosas, 2 chicken dishes, rice and drinks and it came to $ 60 dollars after a tip.
