Went there last night. Great décor and tasty food. I got the tacos and curry naan. Very flavorful.

Moxie has great atmosphere, service, and food. You can eat healthy and feel special. Book ahead as tables fill fast.

We went here for some shareable dishes and a round of drinks. It was like any other Moxies: clean and modern with a wine bar vibe. The staff at this location are excellent. From being greeted by the hostess to our waitress who managed to get us a refill on our bread and an extra amount of fries at no extra cost. We ordered the«Med Bread» which is a sort of pita sliced into fingers that comes with three dips. We had the option to add cheese on top which we took; we weren’t disappointed. We also ordered sweet potato fries with a side of chipotle mayo. The fries were delicious and tasted fresh, definitely weren’t from frozen. The drinks were great. Bellinis were on sale so most of the group had those. They came with a gummy frog on top which was a nice touch. I ordered an old fashioned and that was pretty good too. I’ve reviewed a couple of restaurants in this complex and while Moxies isn’t my favourite of them so far, I will probably go back in the future, the service being the reason.

I’m visiting Ottawa from San Francisco with my bf to spend time with his parents. Today we decided to eat at Moxie’s before going to the game. The food was reasonably priced and was tasty. My bfs mom ordered the Margherita pizza which the manager had remade which made me glad to see that there was quality control at a franchise restaurant like this. I ordered the chicken mushroom pizza was a little dry but was still good. My bf’s dad ordered the sesame ginger beef bowl which was tasty and flavorful. My bf ordered the ribs they were a little sweet, but still good. Only reason I am giving such a low review for this place is because of their hostesses. Initially walking in, my bfs mom talked to one girl and asked for a table of four, she said ok and walks away doesn’t give us a time estimate or anything. I had to later ask another girl who then gave us a time estimate and proceeded to sit us down in this dark alley way in the restaurant. It was too dark for my bfs parents so we asked if we could move to a brighter area and she sits us down on the table right next to the one we just complained about. We asked for another table promptly and she left saying she would see if there was anything else open but she never came back. We had to ask the waiter to move us which he then told someone else and they moved us to the main area. Then at the end of our meal, a girl drops ketchup right next to my seat and says oops, looks down and then proceeds to walk away not even checking to see if I was ok or if I got any ketchup on me. I did check myself initially and found nothing until I was getting up off my seat and found ketchup did land on me. I got upset at the fact that no staff asked if I was ok and if I needed a towel. I later asked for the manager and explained what happened. But during that time a bunch of the hostesses began to slowly walk behind him to try to listen. It is because of poor staffing that I am giving such a low review which is truly a shame. If you want to be greeted by snotty girls who are incompetent then this is your place. I highly suggest management to retrain these girls because they lack customer service and knowledge of the menu.

A-OK burgers and fries… The service was a bit slow but on untollerable. The music was a bit louder than I’d like. It’s an ultra-modern fusion style interior and the staff act accordingly. A bit pricey for what you get but still no too unreasonable.

I can’t say enough. Excellent service. Food was awesome. We came in for dessert while the girls were at the movies. Picked out our desserts. Before the waiter could come back to take our order, we saw a plate of nachos go by. Now we are getting Nachos. Great choice. Started with Nachos to split then we ordered the dessert we came for. We chose White Chocolate Brownie and Tasting Trio. Both excellent choices. Would most definately recommend!

Moxies is always a great place to have a couple beer with your buddies. They have exceptional food and the service is always excellent. The beef vindaloo is one of my favorite meals.

Super, Up Scale Sports Bar. Food so good it’s seems a shame to call it a sports bar. I had the Chipotle Mango Chicken with quinoa and seasonal veggies, it was Top Notch. Noise level was a little loud on the bar side; however, it was packed. They had a Japanese Yuzu Lemonade that was also very good if you need a refreshing adult beverage for one of those days. So if you have a credit card that has a chip and it doesn’t let them scan the chip be prepared to have cash or another card as they will not swipe a chipped card. Just weird as this is the only place I have been in Canada in the past 2 years that has this as a standard policy. Asked for an explanation and got a big shoulder shrug.

I went here for date night with my wife and we were both really pleasantly surprised. We were in the«restaurant» side and definitely would come here with our ten-year-old. There were lots of(slightly older) kids and the place generally seems kid-friendly. Our waiter was excellent and attentive. We got a couple beers and a sensational tuna appetizer to share. Then my wife got the chicken enchiladas. She is from the South and couldn’t fault them. EXCELLENT guac, everything super fresh. And more than enough for her lunch the next day. I got the sirloin. Perfectly cooked, and when I ask for blue it is sometimes hit and miss. Only slight regret — al dente does not mean almost raw… The veggies were super hard and the asparagus had not been«snapped» so half of it was inedible. Almost forgot, I got a glass of the house red and it was really nice for the price. All in all, almost faultless and we will definitely be back — either for date night or a family outing.

3.5 stars but rounding down. Moxie’s is kind of like an upscale sports bar with attractive female servers wearing tight clothing. However, their food is pretty solid, and they have a good selection of beers and hard liquor to choose from. We came in on a Monday night at 6:30pm, and were seated right away in the bar area. The restaurant side was maybe half full, but most people were on the bar side, which was over three-quarters full. I tried: –Dry Ribs(Pork Ribs w/Sea Salt, Cracked Pepper): I like sauce on my ribs, so wasn’t the biggest fan of these. Also, I thought the ribs were too dry, but I could have gotten a bad batch on my visit. –Calamari(Served w/Tzatziki & Sweet Chili Sauce): Good– the calamari pieces had a nice crust. –Chicken Wings(Hot Honey Garlic): Solid– the hot honey garlic gave the wings a good flavor, and they fried them very well. Recommended! –Tasting Trio Dessert: Mini Versions of White Chocolate Brownie [Warm Chocolate Sauce, Whipped Cream] + Sticky Toffee Pudding [w/Toasted Almonds, Buttery Caramel Sauce] + Salted Caramel & Pecan Cheeecake [Housemade Caramel Cheesecake w/Fresh Blackberries, Orange Segments] Served w/French Vanilla Ice Cream: I thought the sticky toffee pudding was the best out of the three desserts, since the white chocolate brownie was overbaked and dry. The cheesecake was ok, but the whipped cream and ice cream were good. I would order the sticky toffee again, and would also give the brownie another shot. Service was solid, and our server was friendly and attentive. I would recommend coming here for a casual dinner if you want a place with good beers on tap. Parking is easy since the parking lot in this plaza is huge.

I now realize I need to update my information. Sitting at the bar makes a world of difference. A wide open space with at least 6 TVs. Wide selection of liquor, and the Mediterranean pasta with seafood is delicious!!! I can imagine hockey season sees this place packed to the gills. I conclude that I had a bad initial visit and justifiably needed to update my rating.

Great food and even better scenery! Crazy busy on Friday and Saturday nights, but a great place to go with the lads. Just make sure that you sit on the bar side, not the dining side.

Big fan of this location! I stay at the hotel nearby while in town on business frequently — and thought to try this place out for a drink one night instead of drinking at the hotel. Walking up to it, a drop dead gorgeous girl opened the door for me and welcomed me in. I was happy to see that although the gimmick is clear — the girls were treating female guests with as much attention as male. Well done. My 2nd trip to Moxie’s was about a month ago and I brought a friend. We were seated at the bar while waiting for a table on the bar side, however, after meeting Andre behind the bar, we decided we wanted to spend the rest of the night with him. Glad we did — had great steaks — a glass of Cab Sav on the house to compliment our meal(from a manager) and Andre was bang on with drinks and conversation. Even introducing us to other staff. In leaving, we were escorted out by another manager — I believe also named Andre who asked about our meal and service. I was really impressed at how well treated we were and that was on top of a great meal(pics were uploaded!) I went back again last week while in town, was happy to see Andre(who remembered me immediately) and surprisingly convinced one tv to be on the Habs game — even with a Sens game playing! :) So far my experience with Moxie’s has been due to Andre’s fantastic service, the fact that they will never run out of Crown Royal(check the wall) the food is terrific and it already feels like Cheers to me.

Moxies is always a trustworthy place to go for celebrations or small get together’s, and they take reservations on Friday nights. ;) Both dinning room and bar side are great for dates, but the dinning room side is definitely more dim and intimate. I have never had a problem with the food or service. Food always arrives hot and the service is very attentive. If you are having a celebration of any type, they offer you a brownie or mousse desert, which is generous. Food suggestions: Calamari is fantastic as well as their sweet potato fries with dip. Tried their chicken burger with bacon and it was great. Bellini are always a great choice as well. It is loud, and does have a club like atmosphere, so use your outdoor voice inside! Also, booths in the dinning room side are toooooo snug to fit four people. Almost to the point where you cannot breathe. Fits 2 comfortably though. As always I will be back.

Bar side is more of a happening atmosphere. Large TVs mounted all around for those who wanna watch. Food is ok, nothing special considering the prices. This location has a good sized patio. I’ve experienced nothing but great service here, both in the dining area and on the bar side. Recommendations include the beef dip, penne pasta with italian sausage, and the ranch chicken burger. Try there special mayo for dipping your fries :) Who remembers the mushroom steak mushroom before Moxies went all high class lol :)

After a long drive into the Ottawa area I decided to go to the Moxies nearby. I had been to this location before and the experience was good so I decided to revisit this same location. I arrived at the place at around 9pm and was greeted by… No one. Myself and another person were waiting for some time to see if there was anybody that would come and sit us(or greet us for that same matter). After approximately 3 to 5 minutes, a girl that was not the hostess walked by us and said, just sit yourself anywhere. I did. The Blue Jay’s opening game was on, which was great, and I sat right across from the TVs, in a long sharable table. I was greeted by my waitress, Casey, who informed me of the specials. I decided to try the top sirloin topped with a crab cake and bearnaise sauce. A glass of wine was also in my order as I sat to relax after my long drive. I ordered my steak medium. It came medium well. After about 5 to 10 minutes I was asked how my food was and I mentioned the overcookedness… I was offered to have my food taken away and have a steak redone. I was hungry and I truly do not like returning a meal. I suggested that i would eat it anyway. I was quite disappointed that neither the manager nor the chef came to make a mention of how my experience was or even comment on anything. I could not even identify who the manager was. I was offered a free dessert as a compliment for the overcooked steak, but I was not hungry anymore after my big meal. The rest of my meal was delicious. The crab cake was tender and flavourful. The bearnaise sauce was very tasty and at great temperature. The meal also came with a side of vegetables, which included a very tenderly prepared asparagus and beets, very well cooked; and I ordered sweet potato fries instead of the mash potatoes. I had a Chilean Merlot(Casillero del Diablo) to pair with the meal and it went very well with it. I also noted my waitress carefully checking my wine glass before bringing it over, which is always appreciated. The service from my waitress was great but I remain slightly disappointed with the management. It seems that for the $ 44 meal(before taxes), there was no real attention to the true satisfaction of the client. Disappointed.

I’ve been here for a few lunches and I’m not particularly a fan of this place but it’s not particularly horrible. However on my last trip I tried the Korean Kimchi BBQ pulled pork sandwich. The service is normally fast and friendly and I’m not sure why but I always feel weird in here seeing a bunch of upper middle aged guys gawking at the much younger girls and getting giddy over it. Creepy… Anyways I had a Korean BBQ sandwich. The sandwich was pretty gross. The pork was salty but it was a weird marinade salty. The sauce that came with it sucked and wasn’t spicy at all. It wasn’t reminiscent of anything Korean and tasted like salty molasses :( I’ll try something new the next time I’m here for lunch and report back! Maybe I shouldn’t be so adventurous with my food and stick to the burger.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve always been satisfied. This place is like The Keg or a high-end version of Kelsey’s. Basically with these sorts of restaurants you’re getting a higher-end restaurant appearance and atmosphere, improved service(usually) and nicer food presentation. The food quality, while advertised and presented to be higher end, can often still be back down at the same level as Kelsey’s,(but you’ll still be paying as though it weren’t). I find all Moxie’s are usually staffed by above-average-looking servers(or if it’s the Bayshore one, super skinny girls). With this place, service is almost always good, the food is always well presented and usually very tasty! The ambiance is relaxing and the restaurant is gorgeous, although at times they go a bit overboard with the mood lighting(I still need to be able to read the menu!) And on a side note, the bathrooms are gorgeous!!! Normally I wouldn’t notice, but god their bathrooms are nice. Bring a date here and you’ll surely please him/her! Bring a business partner, and you may do less well. That being said, it would still definitely beat out many other restaurants in this range.

Really modern atmosphere and awesome food. Great place to bring a date or the wife for dinner. Only complaint is it is a little noisy and reservations are recommend.
