The three best places I have been to, in terms of allergies, are Cheesecake Factory(in the US), The Works, and here. Moxies policy is that when you tell them you have an allergy, they will take down the information, but then the manager will come check in with you. I’ve found that servers who have helped me before remember, and will say something like, «Now I seem to recall that you have allergy concerns. Can you remind me what those were?» Really, really cool. The food is fantastic, and all the servers/managers we’ve encountered have been super nice. I get a custom drink(suggested by Shane, based on the drinks I seemed to like) which is basically lime slush with a bit of iced tea. Erika, our server tonight, noting I was down to just slush, brought me some more iced tea, in a pot like they use for hot tea, so I could top it up as needed w/out spilling. A little thing, but it shows how thoughtful they are here. Several managers, in particular Laura, have gone above and beyond to work with the kitchen to expand what dishes I can eat, which greatly enhances my experience here(I’m used to having only one dish I can have at any given restaurant, if I’m lucky). At one point, the chef actually came out to talk to me about the specifics of my allergies, and brainstorm alternatives. The first time we came, I loved it, but my husband was undecided. The next time, we just happened to be hungry and in the area, so we stopped back by. This time I tried the Alfredo pasta w soy protein(yum!) My husband got the Chipotle Mango Chicken(w lemon quinoa, fresh avocado slices, and salsa), which he rates 5*. We’ve since been here at least a dozen times, with nothing but good things to say about it. It’s rare to find a place that puts so much thought into the complete dish — all good ingredients, no cruft, all laid out in a manner that is very appealing to the eye. It’s even rarer to find a place where they will go so out of their way to make the dish exactly as suits you.

Conveniently located in Bayshore Shopping Mall, this grill offers a bite to any hungry shopper around. Seems a bit old and it could use a renovation but it doesn’t set you back, meaning that you can see how it looked 20 years ago and still like it. The service was really good, both our waiter and the lady that got us a table were extremely friendly and helpful. As usual I choose a burger, why try something new when you already figured out what you like the most in this world. Not bad, but the sauce was too strong in my opinion. My wife opted for fish tacos, generously filled with haddock. Generally when I order tacos I always end up hungry, but probably that won’t be the case at Moxie’s, since they are quite big. Very nice. But the best part was the Med Bread we ordered as an entry, with 4 different sauces. It is their signature plate and I would totally recommend to try it out if you’re thinking on sharing. Little misunderstanding at the end when the waiter asked if we wanted the bill. I thought he said«Milk» and I was wondering why were we offered that. We had a good laugh when with the bill he brought a small package of milk to keep the joke going. Again, the bread and the service, the best, in a pretty normal restaurant where you will eat decently and will be treated nicely.

My server was honestly super good but kind of TOO in our faces with what he recommends, portions were so small I ordered a second round of food still starving and it came back to me tasting Awful, nearly burnt(Thai rice dish) I got it to go and gave it to my coworker and even she couldn’t eat it, waste of 70 $ but server was very kind. Overpriced and undersized Last time I went there I got seated on the bar side without asking me and I was on a date with my boyfriend, she sat me next to loud drunk girls and it took 1 hour to get my beef vindaloo dish and it took the waitress 15 minutes to ask if I wanted water or anything I enjoy some staff members personally so I keep giving moxies a chance but awful experience worth while drinking at but don’t eat there Then I went ANOTHERTIME and I had a female server named on the bar side I had a party of 7 and literally had NOSERVICE she came every 15 minutes when I had new people show up SHEBROUGHTUS A MENU and didn’t come for 40 minutes to ask what my friend wanted and it’s only because I was finally rude and said CANSHEORDERNOW !!! Then she rolled her eyes came up didn’t speak and just wrote it down, my friend shouldn’t feel sorry for ordering food, then they messed up our bills 2 times

Came here for lunch with coworkers for a coop celebration. I ordered a rare Steak with Lobster Prawn butter. The food came fairly quickly and was a delight. Although it is a chain, the consistent quality really separates Moxies from the rest.

Good food, friendly attentive staff. Atmosphere for being located in a mall food court was quiet and professional. Much nicer than the frantic pace just outside the door

We ordered chicken pasta and sweet potato fries and beef dip sandwich. The service was good but the food is nothing special.

After dress hunting for a few hours after work, a BFF and I were thirsty and hungry so stopped into Moxies instead of fighting dinner traffic in the mall-always a nice option. We were promptly seated, and despite the cute and charming waiter who introduced us to the possible $ 5 gin and tonics on Fridays, we stuck with our diet cokes as shopping had to continue after dinner. We both had salads, the santorini and the tandoori salmon salad. The santorini looked far healthier than the salmon. The salmon did come with lovely naan bread with brie melted on it-but it was cold — and didn’t look that good-minus a star. I wish I’d picked one of the other salads. Moxies is a chain with a great rep with the men due to the scantily clad girls(yes girls) that work there-tonight I was happy to have a cute waiter, whose clothes covered everything, and actually I think there are more male waiters in the Moxies here than in Kanata, perhaps that’s why some of my reviewers here like the Kanata location more?

This Moxie’s isn’t as nice as the one in Kanata. I know the Kanata one got a low rating from me and the interior and exterior is MUCH nicer over there but it was based on my last meal which was pretty gross. The steak here is ok. The staff here are always really fast and friendly. If you’re going to Moxie’s for a drink I’d definitely recommend one of the newer ones like the one in Kanata but if you’re going for some food they’re all about the same quality. The staff are pretty good at all the Moxie’s.

I love Moxie’s! I wish they built one downtown, I’d be there all the time! This place is very business-casual. Great atmosphere at night, almost has a club like feel with the big booths, dim lighting, and drink specials. I usually get the same dish all the time, because it’s so good! I get the Herb Oven Roasted Chicken, which consists of white wine, lemon and thyme reduction, with herbed goat cheese and crispy sage, along with some wild rice pilaf & seasonal vegetables. Anyone who knows me well, knows I’m a sucker for goat cheese. And this dish, Unilocalers, gives you a whole lot of it! It makes me so happy! I like to eat a bit of the chicken, goat cheese, and rice together. Such a good combination! I love when it’s served with grilled asparagus, although it varies. The Mediterranean Burger is also delightful. It consists of basil pesto, feta and goat cheese.(Yes, there I go again with the goat cheese) The drink specials vary, but trust me when I say they have some pretty good deals. Overall really put together restaurant, I will continue to go here to get my chicken and goat cheese fix. NOM!
