What I love about Marcello’s is the variety of food. No matter what you feel like eating, they surely have it, and it’s very good. It’s a weird concept though: part café, part convenience store, part bakery, part deli, part buffet… am I forgetting anything? BTW, debit over $ 5 only.

Well just started a new job DT and this place is in my building so I thought I’d give it a go. I was pleasantly surprized by the variety and availability of healthy options. I filled a container with salads-there is an array of choices-I had tabouleh, quinoa, Greek and chickpea salad with a drink and was under $ 7-and to top it off-all were delicious! I’m very excited to try more.

My boyfriend took me here on his lunch break one weekday. We weren’t sure what we wanted to eat and he suggested we go here for the buffet-style lunch. I had never even heard of Marcello’s before and was glad to try something different. This location, was in the food court of the Minto Place, right downstairs from the offices. When we walked in, I took a look around and found many different coffees, teas, pastries and baked goods, granola bars and healthy snacks, fruits, and a refrigerator with some freshly made, pre-packaged food, milks, and juices. They had a few different kinds of pizza, but they also had salads, soups, and sandwiches. I love that they carry food that is both convenient and healthy. The buffet was at the back, with a surprisingly good variety and selection of food. They have two stands, one for hot food and one for cold. The cold stand had salads of all kinds — lettuce, spring mix, tabouleh, pasta, potato, and bean. It also had raw vegetables and California rolls. The hot stand had shepherd’s pie, roast beef with gravy, baked chicken, stir fry, rice, pasta, meatballs, sausages. let’s just say that there’s something for everyone. We filled our containers with food, had our containers weighed, and paid by the weight at the cash register. Even with a completely packed container, we only paid about $ 10 each. The food court will get pretty packed at lunchtime with all of the business people, so make sure you choose quickly to grab a seat!
