I dropped into Lunch to see what lunch options they had since i work just up the street and it’s hard to find healthy gluten free quick lunch. This place has a good variety which includes sandwiches(not gf), salads, salad rolls and soups. I’ve been on a dairy free low carb diet for a couple weeks so I decided to try the tomato herb soup which is vegan ands gluten free. The soup is surprisingly creamy which i have no clue why(maybe coconut milk?) and really delicious. I love tomato soup and this one is probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant. I will be back here just for the soup. Some items are pricey which is common downtown but the soup and a couple other items are ok. So I’m giving it 4 stars because price are a little high and i wish they had a little more gluten free options.

Good selection, fresh food. Hot wraps(only one vegetarian wrap though). Good coffee. My favourite things at Lunch: — Smoked trout bagel($ 7) — Lunch box(cheese cracker, fruits & veggies) — Hummus and pita — Vegetarian chili — Portobello and goat cheese wrap — Breakfast wrap(available in full and half portions) — Awesome potato salad The muffins are good but are sometimes too nutmeg-y. It would be nice to see more vegetarian wraps; I don’t order the mushroom one anymore — not because it’s not good(it is!) but because I am tired of it. Also, there are a few locations(I go to the one in the food court at 240 Sparks).

Don’t be scared off by the line, rather embrace it! It’s a popular and relatively new lunch option downtown and the staff move people through the line fairly quickly. Their roasted vegetable sandwich is delicious but if you’re unsure of the sandwich you’re in the mood for this place is an excellent option because they offer so many ‘wich options. The prices aren’t anything out of the ordinary compared to other fast lunch options downtown and considering the freshness factor the value is excellent. The store prides itself on local ingredients and«innovative packaging». I found the wrapping to be recyclable but nothing innovative. If for nothing else you at least feel as if you’re staying and supporting something local and decent by eating from here.

When I saw one day when I was downtown, I was SO excited! I assumed, because the name was a web address, that was a place where you could order food online and either a) pick it up when it was ready, or b) have it delivered to your cubicle. Sadly, it is not that kind of restaurant. But, on the upside, it makes fresh food from local ingredients(environmental!) and has a great selection of sandwiches and wraps available to choose from — Italian deli cuts, Jerk tofu, curry chicken, hummous, oh my!!! And, the prices are great — the most expensive sandwich is only $ 6.95. If you work in the area, or just happen to be around shopping like I was, then think !
