La Grand Pita

Went today for the first time and was so happy the man working was a as pleasant as ever. Best customer service I have had at a shwarma shop. I got a large shwarma sandwich with chicken and beef. The garlic sauce is the best yet, plus they have sweet sour and spicy sauce that really makes the flavours balance and pop. It was amazing best ever and I have tried them all over Ottawa. Better than shwarma palace by far. Fresh ingredient, lovely potoes it was all a great price too. Only 10.54 for a large sandwich, potatoes, garlic sauce, and a pop! This is my new favorite!!! Can’t wait to go back again soon. I would normally take a photo but it was just to good I ate it all without even bothering. Next time I will snap a photo

As Shwarma fans who have lived in a shwarma free zone for the last 7 years, spotted this food court restaurant and had to give it a try.
I had a veggie plate — everything was fresh and tasty! Hubby had Shwarma Pita — also great. Of course I had a bite… chicken was done to perfection.
Everyone behind the counter was friendly and courteous. Price is right. What’s not to like?
Would I recommend: Yes

After an appointment at the building next door, my boyfriend and I went to the Westgate Mall to do a little shopping for odds and ends and to find something to eat. We saw La Grand Pita in the food court, and since I was suddenly in the mood for shawarma, we decided to get something from there.
The was only one man both preparing the food and ringing up our orders at the cash. He was incredibly friendly, and laughed quite a bit when we told him I’d be eating much more than my boyfriend.
I ordered a combo with beef shawarma, garlic potatoes, and a canned drink, and for some reason, I chose V8. The pita bread was much smaller than I’m used to, but the man stuffed it with all of the fixings and a decent amount of meat. The potatoes were freshly fried and not soggy with grease, and he put a whole bunch of garlic sauce on top, but of course, I asked for more on the side. Everything tasted pretty good, like the average shawarma place, though we enjoyed it much more because of the service. The price wasn’t bad for our shawarmas, either, so it’s a much better place than we had originally thought.
