La Bocca Juice

I’ve been to this place many times as it’s in my neighbourhood. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and my favourite is the ultra-​creamy Avocado Tornado with the ashta :-)

Everything I’ve had here is AMAZING just try and resist the temptation for the unhealthy portions and toppings

The fruit juices/​smoothies are fresh and delicious. The crepes and waffles are made right in front of you! A great after dinner treat. Just don’t go for a friendly chit-​chat with the staff!

Great pistachio ice cream. I wish there was a place like this in Toronto.

What a spectacular place! Your order is freshly made in front of you while the other delicacies beckon your taste buds. Talk about olfactory overload! I can hardly wait to come back.

I went here recently with my mom for one of their smoothies. The smoothies are delicious, but they are smaller than I expected and smaller than you would think they are based on the pictures on the wall. I would estimate that they are about 12 – 14 oz.
My mom had the «Rainbow» ($ 6.25) which was layers of mixed fruit smoothie (pink), mango smoothie (orange) and avocado smoothie (green). It looked really pretty with all the layered colours. It was then topped with ashta (Lebanese cream), pineapple chunks, strawberry slices, mango cubes, and crushed pistachios, then drizzled with honey.
I don’t remember the name of my smoothie, but it was the same as my mom’s except no mango smoothie layer. It was $ 5.95.
The smoothie was delicious. The avocado layer is so rich and creamy! The mixed fruit layer has lots of strawberries in it because it’s a nice pink colour. I’m not sure what other fruits are in it though. The ashta is delicious. I could eat a whole bowl of it.
My smoothie had 2 whole ice cubes in it (they were not blended/​crushed or anything, the ice cubes were whole and intact). Weird! My mom’s smoothie didn’t have any ice cubes in it though.
I found the smoothies delicious, but a little expensive given their size.
The staff are very nice. The place looks clean. It’s in a strip mall (the corner of Hunt Club and Bank can be confusing with strip malls on all 4 corners, so La Bocca Juice is in the strip mall that Produce Depot is in). It’s next door to Sweet Castle. There is plenty of free parking.

Had the Ashta fruit crêpe.
The store is very clean and smells really good when you walk in.
All the fruit is extremely fresh and nicely presented! There are tons of banana and pineapple on the counters when you walk in– they must use tons of banana every day here!,
My crêpe was well cooked and really thin– it also had a lot of cream and at least 2 cups of fruit. There was a whole banana, sliced strawberry, mango, melon, pistachio and honey inside and on top.
My plate was large and I could not eat all day as I was so stuffed after this!
Also tried the gelato and there is some neat flavors– but the pistachio kind was really too green colored and not enough nuts. Still good but naturally should not be such a bright colour.
Double chocolate was really good and rich and maple walnut was good with fresh crunchy walnuts– but not enough walnuts.
I prob won’t go out of my way just for the ice cream, but for the crepes will def be back to try more!
If this was closer for me I’d eat here every week!

La Bocca seems to be the only place of it’s kind in the area, and that is the only reason I have gone back.
I left a review previously giving 2 stars because of the lack of customer service I had gotten at this place. My friends seem to like this place, and so I have been back 4 – 5 times since that incident which happened in 2012.
My opinion has changed since the customer service has improved, and their menu items are consistent and delicious.
I have tried these menu items:
Turbo: Really good mix of flavors and fruity goodness
Half strawberry, half avocado filled with fruit chunks and topped with ashta, pistachio, almonds and honey
Avocado Power: DELICIOUS + my favorite
Avocado (mixed with milk & honey), with banana chunks and topped with ashta, pistachio, almonds and honey
Avocado Tornado: Very good and extremely rich
Plate with ashta cream, topped with a sliced avocado, pistachios and honey

Jamaica:
Crêpe filled with nutella, strawberries and bananas.
The only item that I really didn’t like from their menu is the Chocolate Mo (ice cream). It didn’t taste like chocolate at all.
OH! and if you’re wondering what ASHTA is, it’s a traditional milk based pastry cream used in Lebanese desserts. It’s rich, creamy and has a hint of a floral aftertaste from the rose and orange blossom water that is used to make it.
The place is extremely clean and well-​lit. It also has a lot of indoor seating, and some comfy couches. There is an outdoor patio during the warmer weather as well.
Pricing:
It is a little on the pricey side, but if you consider you are paying for fresh fruit dishes/​drinks that are made to order (right in front of you) and a nice place to sit with family or friends (we always stay for at least an hour there), then it’s worth it!

Got the ashta fruity. It was delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness, it was not overwhelming. The ashta fruity has a nice crêpe with bananas, strawberries and papaya and ashta inside while topped with a scoop of ashta sprinkled with pistachios and lightly drizzled with honey. Not your average crêpe! The prices were just slightly higher than usual crêpe places but it was worth a try. The presentation of the whole menu was looking spectacular. Exactly like the pictures on the menu!
So. Delicious.

This is a good place to come in the winter if you are tired of the cold weather and want some good fruit! You can also indulge in some great gelato (try chocolate if you are a chocolate lover like me!).
Prices are a little high, but where are you going to get ripe tropical fruit generally in Canada, but even more so in the winter?!
My fruit salad and gelato cost more like an amount I might spend on a small meal, but were delicious all the same.
The service is great, you can tell that the people who work here like what they are doing.
This place is pretty close to South Keys, so you can eat as a shopping break.
