Kilborn Food Mart is a tiny little grocery store in a quaint little neighbourhood in southeast Ottawa. It carries everything a major grocery store carries, but just not in the same volumes. The prices, however, are pretty comparable to major grocery chains. My yardstick for low prices is to always look at Kraft Dinner. At Kilborn Food Mart, it is $ 1.99, which is usually $ 1.49 at bigger stores. What was really cool about Kilborn Food Mart is that they sell homemade baked goods — the owner actually makes them. We bought a cherry pie and it was delish!!! You really need to go there and try them out. But, Kilborn Food Mart is a good alternative to big chain grocery shopping.
