Hair World

Division of the sexes, that is Hair World. One side is for men and the other… wait for it… women. I can only speak for the male side, but it is a decent place to get your haircut.
Booking ahead of time is suggested but I have yet to have to wait for more than 10 minutes without an appointment. The front desk staff are always pleasant and happy to try and fit you in.
While waiting the leather benches they have to sit on are comfortable, and there is always a good amount of reading material to pass the time. Those 10 minutes will fly-​by.
the quality of haircuts depend on the person doing the cutting, but they are generally pretty good. It isn’t a fancy place, so the prices correlate to that. If you pay a lot more you’ll get a better hair do, but you aren’t going to Hair World for the expensive haircut.
For anyone near Merivale, it’s a good place to get a trim while driving by.
