I went here for lunch since I work very close by. I ordered the Veggie 1 Box. The roasted sweet potatoes were undercooked and not warmed up enough before adding to my box. The overall flavor was good and it was definitely fresh but the serving size seemed small for $ 9(including tax). It wasn’t tiny but they could be a bit more generous.

Basic salads and boxes. The ingredients are fresh. You can pick your toppings which is a plus. I wanted to order their quinoa kale salad or the veggie 1 box which also contains kale, however, they were out of kale which was a bummer! I ended up getting the veggie 1 box and substituted the kale with spring greens, got the lemon and olive oil sauce, and added some almonds. Overall the box was delicious and almost filling. I think it is overpriced for $ 10. I liked the available variety of ingredients to choose from so I will go again when I crave greens.

Overpriced soup, salads, and sandwiches. The ingredients are good and fresh, but not worth the price(a sandwich will cost you $ 7 – 9 and $ 2 – 3 for a can or bottle of pop). The staff were friendly. Also, there is basically no seating(2 tables of two each and a bench with 4 chairs), meaning you’ll have to go to another store somewhere else to eat your food.

I like it. It’s in my neighbourhood so convenient. Service is fast and friendly though I avoid noon hour. Healthy Food but not cheap. I wish they were open later — like most eateries in that neighbourhood it really just targets the office crowd. So it closes at four and all weekend. There is another one in the new Rideau Centre food court with the same menu and better hours

First, I’d give this place a 3.5. But I don’t want to skew the average, so 3 stars it is. This is a quick service, slightly-more-than-average«healthy» lunch choice place. There are lots of healthy options, but there are some decent meat sandwhiches here too. I come here when the mood strikes, when I don’t want to walk any father

I’m usually not a salad lover, but since trying both the Asian Smoked Tofu salad and the Feta Chicken salad, I am a huge fan. The salads are not only healthy, but extremely tasty, delicious, and filling. They don’t skimp out on meat or toppings and they use very fresh ingredients. The flavoring of the salad is exceptional with a perfect combination of flavors and unlike any regular salads at restaurants. The only thing they can improve on is the price, since most salads will end up costing $ 11, which is a little higher than what you’re paying at most of the other food court vendors.

Their quinoa-kale salad is the best — which is why I was more than a bit disappointed when I got back to the office and realized they’d made it without quinoa hahahaha

I was thrilled to find out about this place as there are very few quick healthy lunch options in downtown Ottawa. Although a little pricey the salads here are delicious and the orders are processed quickly. You also have the option of buying a bowl/container from them for $ 7 that gets you $ 0.50 off each time you buy a salad when you use it. Give it a shot if you are looking for something less greasy for lunch.

I adore their soup. The thai soup is so good. Once they were out and I had to the mushroom. I was disappointed until I tried it. So good. I’ve never had a bad soup at this place. The salads are good, but $ 9 – 13 for a salad? I just can’t pay that much routinely for lunch. It’s just too expensive. But as a treat it’s definitely worth it.

I had the fortune of visiting Green Rebel(Queen St location) while I was on a business trip, and it was incredible! Its very rare that you can get a quick, tasty and healthy lunch option these days so we were both anxious to try this place out. My gf had the Thai soup, and I opted for the Baked Potato soup, and both were delicious! This was quickly followed by a BLAT sandwich(Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, and Tomato) and it was excellent too. In addition to sandwiches and soup, they also have a wide array of salad options! Besides having some great food, they have a pretty cool interior design. Only thing you need to be aware of is that it is only open during the week… no weekends! If you’re from the Ottawa area… or plan on visiting Canada’s Capital city, check it out!
I’ve got some love for this place. Big city feel, clean and modern design, a great variety of soups, sandwiches and salads, and a seriously efficient production line to clear out the lunchtime rush. Don’t be deterred when you see the line going almost out the door. You’re going to have lunch in hand in about six minutes. I picked up the Veggie Fiesta on a ciabatta wrap and wasn’t disappointed. Not only do I never turn down a fiesta of any kind, but I go arriba for anything with avocado involved let alone local cheddar, roasted red peppers, tomato, black beans, corn, cilantro and romaine. It was tasty, filling, and mostly worth the just under $ 10 for a freshly made creative sandwich option. The main gripe? I was planning to stay to eat but was told that they don’t offer customers their wireless password for either of the two Green Rebel signals that I noticed. Ultimately that wouldn’t be a deal-breaker, but cell reception was tragic in the shop so I wouldn’t have been able to get work done on either my laptop of my phone. Boo-urns.

This is not the easiest place to review, for some reason, although I have been here a lot, at least 30 times. 3 stars does feel a little harsh but 4 seems overly generous to me. The restaurant itself is a good concept and a welcome change in the lunchtime routine. The interior is nice, with a high ceiling and clean, simple décor. Staff are friendly and efficient and the lineup moves quite well even though it can get long between 12:00 and 1:00. There are a lot of different salads and sandwiches available, and the recipes are quite good. My favorite salads are the Taco Chicken and the Rebel Cobb. My major issue with the restaurant is that the salads are not prepared in a consistent way. The amounts of ingredients and dressing used are not always the same and it results in a different salad. Sometimes you get a really good salad, but sometimes it’s just okay. The price also seems a little on the high side, for what you are getting. They should have some sort of «combo» that includes a drink and/or cookie. As it is, getting a regular salad and pop typically comes to $ 13 or so, which isn’t cheap. All in all, despite a couple of issues, I recommend this place and it’s good enough to become a part of your regular lunch rotation.
