Being a hardcore foodie with an Indian lineage sometimes drags a person from the gastronomic serendipity of greens, you love spice and curry and that sometimes limits your palets.(speaking for myself here) But, with a big B, the greens at this joint is an exception to the thought described above… Their menu is so very well planned, every salad, soup, sandwich is like the way its meant to be… The way it has been explained on the menu is the way it is presented and often tastes better… Getting tired of the junk food scene(which is awesome btw) at the Rideau mall food court, I tried their Thai Chicken Soup and have been hitched to the place since then… A little pricy though, food is definitely worth trying here if you are worried about calories and other stressful words… People like me celebrate each day as cheat day, and what better can be consumed than a healthy flavorful salad/soup… I am not sure if I would say the same about the smoothies, tried the protein shake smoothie a couple of times but its either not welldone or is not generally worth the price… All in all, if you are in Rideau Mall or in a locality with this joint around, craving a salad or are a healthy foodie in general, this is your goto joint… Great food!

I’ve tried every one of their salads and all of them have been delicious. Not only do they offer some of the best tasting food that the Rideau food court has to offer, but it’s most likely the healthiest option too(for only a slight bit more money than you’d spend on a typical fast-food meal elsewhere); Win-win situation. I’m sometimes skeptical that I can get full on leafy greens, but their portions are very filling(for me!).

Geat option for a healthy drink. The Peaches and greens smoothie has mild favour, not sweet, not bitter. Great taste! Makes you think of healthy The avocado brownie is a little dry(rice flour?) but it goes great with the smoothie. Second time in 2 days! Once again, leads you to think you are eating healthy

This place is in the Rideau Centre food court. I had lunch here recently. I wanted the Bacon Lobster salad but was told they didn’t have anymore lobster. Then I wanted the Taco Shrimp salad but was told they didn’t have any shrimp either. For real? So I ended up getting the Cobb salad, which was $ 10.50, and contained spring mix, grilled chicken, bacon bits, avocado, grape tomatoes, and chopped egg. It usually comes with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing, but to the dismay of Cobb Salad purists I opted for the balsamic vinaigrette instead. You can get a free little piece of bread with your salad. The ingredients were fresh. I felt that there wasn’t very much chicken in it though. However there was a lot of egg. I think there must have been like 2 eggs in there. I really liked the balsamic dressing. It was tangy yet smooth. The spring mix was a true spring mix, not mostly romaine with some token leaves of other greens like some places. Overall the salad was good, but I felt it was overpriced, and it didn’t have anything really special about it. However, it was one of the few healthy choices available in the food court.
