Greek on Wheels is my go-​to delivery service. They’ve never once been late and the portions leave room for leftovers. I’ve had a variety of menu options and everything’s been delicious!
Personal favourites are the spanakopita platter and the potato wedges

Their food has good taste and the quantities are more than enough! I can easily get 2 – 3 small meals out of this.
Personally for me it could use a little more salt but that is something that could be easily fixed.
My husband feels the salt is perfect so it could be just me.
I wish they gave more tzatziki sauce :(! We paid 50cents extra for «extra» cause but the little containers are super tiny! But honestly it’s just because I love it so much! Haha :) I want A LOT of it :) :)! I think I’ll look at their menu and see if they sell it’s the sauce!
Giving 5 stars because the good tastes great and it is truly one of the best I’ve had here in Ottawa. It compares to Greek food in NYC, where I am originally from.

Worst delivery service. Cant even eat what i ordered. Normally delivers with disposable utensils but seemed to have forgotten this time. Any tips on how to eat souvlaki platter with rice without utensils?

I don’t know if it’s possible to love this place any more than I already do. Having delivered many a meal during my group sessions for the bar exam a few years ago, I have a special place in my heart for GOW: it’s healthy, it’s timely and it’s F$%*ing delicious.
Last night I tried their website order function. My husband and I had been dancing all day at a dance marathon and we were pooped and sore. No one was going to the grocery store to buy something healthy and stand over a stove, if you know what I mean. The website function had been updated since I last used it. I noticed that the menu #s that I wrote down from the online menu didn’t necessarily correspond to the checkout menu from which you build your order. No problem! I just used a search function and we were good to go.
I placed my order at 5:50 pm and it had arrived at 6:20, merely 30 minutes later, and 10 minutes AHEAD of the estimated 40 minutes in the confirmation I received. Amazing. You also don’t have to pay on the website. I like the fact that you can pay at the door with cash or credit.
We ordered the spanakopita (which comes with 4 pieces by the way for 7.98 — I was expecting only one because it’s not specified). These are so creamy and delicious and they have that lovely smokey, lemon, salty delicous flavour I love in middle-​eastern food so, so much. I had leftovers and had the rest for breakfast this morning, so they keep okay over night and microwave/​toaster oven just fine back to their previous grandeur from the Saturday night before. How many of us can say the same on a Sunday morning?
My husband had the chicken gyro (great price 6.99), but he found it a bit lacking in flavour.
I splurged (as one does after 6 – 7 hours of dance straight) on the calamari and a lamb souvlaki plate. It was about $ 18, but so worth it. The calamari is (unfortunately) lightly breaded. I suppose I could have specified grilled but just didnt’ think of it, so that’s on me. THat’s the other nice thing about the website order form: it allows you to make notes on each item you order in addition to specifying quantity so they can be mindful of various dietary restrictions — also writing it down makes it clear to everyone involved what was ordered. In the end the calamari was delicious; this is my new favourite platter.
The lamb souvlaki was a really generous portion, tender and juicy. 1 skewer but I could hardly finish it. I ordered extra tzatziki (you should definitely do this — theirs is amazing and trust me you will want more!).
Finished it off with some dainty sized pieces of buttery, flaky baklava (2 for 3 $) and watched a flick. A perfect ending to a busy Saturday if you ask me.

We have been ordering from these guys for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always great, the portions very generous, and the delivery lightning fast! It has gotten a little pricey recently, but it’s worth it for the service.

Greek on wheels has saved me from countless impromptu ‘let’s have dinner at my place’. A chef I am not. Their fresh food fare and great value have put them on my speed dial. Large Greek salad and Mediterranean Platter feed 3 — 4 guests when you add their amazing Hummus with Pita bread. They also have great cheese cake worth a try. Not your average Greek food.
Delivery is remarkably quick and you may use credit cards at the door.

We drive by hear quite often on the way home from Byward Market area — and of course we stop. :-)
We love it. On our first visit, we thought «wow — that’s expensive» until we got home, opened up the bag and realized we had *way* too much food. We now — for 2 adults — order 1 combo and maybe an appetizer or a sandwich, and this works really well for us.
Food is delicious. Service is utilitarian — it’s take out, not table ser
vice. Delivery guys are constantly whizzing thru as you stand an wait for your order. Décor is what you’d expect for a join that only does take out. Best bet for parking is on the street.
Would I return? Yes

i have to say I’m really impressed by this place. I called for delivery this evening, the woman on the phone was extremely polite, I was impressed because often times when I’ll call for delivery, the person on the phone is less than kind *cough shawarma king cough*. I ordered a vegetarian moussaka platter and a chicken gyro wrap.
K here is where I became even more impressed… I placed the order at 5:14PM, I got a call at 5:29 saying the driver was outside. How is that even possible?! I do live fairly close but 15 minutes is crazy.
The food was really good. The rice was delicious and I believe it was homemade, which is saying a lot because I’ve watched a few Greek places prepare food and no lie, they scoop rice out of a huge bucket, and it all tastes the same. But nope, not here, the rice was awesome. The potato oddly enough was one of my favorite parts of the meal, it was spicy, crispy, and tasty. The moussaka was delicious and flavorful with subtle seasoning and a ton of the bechamel sauce on top. The gyro wrap was also very good, the tzatziki here is amazing, and they didn’t give me an insane amount of raw onions. Ew.
The ONLY tiny complaint I have is that there was too much dressing on my salad, but i’d rather too much than too little I think.

It’s damn good and the delivery is ridiculously quick, but the cost of that delivery food makes me cringe.
I like the food & the menu –the Taseki sauce is killer good– but the price of delivery is ridiculous really. I have gone through phases with loving this place, and if you are craving do it, but it’s like ordering Pizza-hut…you may love it but you will pay for it.
Wait…just pick it up yourself. Ye… That’s the best solution.

Ottawa has some horrendous delivery with their pizza stores.
Greek on Wheels is a fantastic alternative to Ottawa pizza delivery as the food has always been delivered hot. I used to live closer to this place and came by for food often. I forgot about it until a recent drive down Main St. When I saw the sign I pulled back around to place an order.
I walked in and placed and order for a souvlaki platter and forgot that you get a discount when you pick up your own food!
I drove home with my meal and remembered that the food is pretty good here. The souvlaki was really tender, the rice was rice and the salad wasn’t bad. You get 2 large pieces of feta cheese with the Greek salad.

With our busy schedule, we were too tired to go out to a restaurant and luckily found Greek on Wheels. They delivered great chicken souvlakis and crispy calamari along with rice and roasted potatoes. The salad was fresh with nice fat chunks of feta cheese. Their dolmas were excellent too. Delivered within 20 minutes to our hotel (a great find: The Business Inn). No wonder it keeps getting kudos as the best Greek food in the area!

Greek on Wheels is one of the best Greek restaurants in Ottawa. It keeps getting voted as the best Greek food every year, so they have to be doing something right.
Their platters are really huge and filling, and come with rice pilaf, huge roasted potatoes, Greek salad with big chunks of feta, and tzatziki dip. My favorite is their Greek combo platter, which has dolmas, spanakopita, and calamari. I always order another side of tzatziki since I dip pretty much everything in it.
They also have a really great Gyros Special, which includes two beef gyros pita sandwiches, and two soft drinks. They now even have a moussaka platter, though it’s not available at all locations.
Their specials and platters are around $ 11 each, so they’re not the cheapest take out food, but they are incredibly filling and totally worth it.

Great food and fairly quick delivery. Ordered at around 5pm on a weeknight and got my food around 5:30. Ample portions are to be expected, and the food shows up warm… which is more than can be expected from some other delivery places. Prices are fairly reasonable for the service and amount of food.
