I’m not an expert when it comes to Indian food, but I’ve tried a lot of Indian restaurants in the last few months and East India Company is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had. This location used to be Al’s Steak House, they kept majority of the same décor but added Indian flare to it. There was even Indian music which I really enjoyed. 4 of us came here for my BF’s birthday dinner. We were originally planning on ordering from the menu but when we were told that the buffet was 21 $ we changed our minds. There were 2 waiters and they were both friendly, super polite and very attentive. We didn’t have to ask for water a single time, one of them was always close by to refill before our glasses were even empty. The plates were also taken away fairly quickly. Awesome service! This is the biggest Indian buffet I’ve ever seen. Almost everything that is on the menu is in the buffet line. I’ve never had so many choices and everything I tried and sampled was SOGOOD! Mini samosas, 2 kinds of rice, tons of vegetarian options(the vegetable korma was AMAZING), even some seafood dishes(crab curry! Who knew such a dish would be so tasty?!), lamb curry, chicken tandoori, butter chicken and the list goes on and on and on. There were also many desserts available. The rice pudding was my favorite, so delicious! Naan bread is not included in the buffet price, so if you want it, you have to order it. Plan naan is 2 $. They also have garlic, coconut, cheese and onion naans, which are all 3 $. The naans are a good size, so I think 1 per person is enough. We ordered 1 of each flavours to try. The garlic and coconut were my favorites. The cheese was inside the naan and tasted similar to cream cheese. It was good, but it was too heavy for all of us. Overall: amazing food, great service and the location is perfect(there’s plenty of parking). I will be returning and will highly recommend this restaurant to my friends! I’m already dreaming about going back again, possibly for lunch on my next day off.

Was there this weekend for the monthly comedy show that they host upstairs(which was a lot of fun) and had an awesome meal before the show! The buffet area looks small but actually had a lot of choices, lots of variety, every dish labelled, and I was impressed with just about everything I tried. I especially liked the chicken dishes and was impressed by how many different pickles and chutneys I had to choose from. Dessert was great too! The staff was friendly and all the other customers seemed to be enjoying themselves, too, so I’d recommend this regardless of your food preferences or familiarity with Indian cuisine.

I’m not one for Indian food but decided to venture into this realm again spontaneously. I’ve heard about this place from a friend and decided it to try it out — being a buffet I could sample the various spices and aromas Indian food had to offer. This is a family business and this is their second location — they have been open for 8 months here! Got there for lunch as was seated by a very pleasant host/waiter who I must say had amazing service. The décor inside was very cultural with the walls and statue but the dining tables and booths themselves were very nice as well. So about the food… absolutely fantastic!!! I’m so glad I decided to try Indian food because this place was absolutely tasty in every way. They offer many vegetarian options as well for those wondering. I feel that the food may be very authentic as there were many Indian families also dining there! I may have based my previous opinions off Indian foods that were more food court like so… Again glad I tried the food here! Will be back for sure

Located at former Al’s Steak House location in Bells Corners. Very nice décor, good parking. The service was fine in the room, but our waiter disappeared for some time just as we wanted to pay the bill. Overall, the food had excellent flavour, but we felt that the flavours were muted, watered down in the sauce. There was a good selection of dishes, many vegetarian. There was no butter chicken, BTW, at least on this Sunday. It is true that naan costs extra, but it is good quality, similar to naan you would get from a tandoor pit/oven. I say«similar», because, like the sauces, it seemed to be a «light» version of what we have tasted at other Indian restaurants. The«crab curry» was actually«crab-flavoured pollock curry», and the fish curry was quite mushy. The gulab jamun were cute little kitten balls, slightly chewy, not the egg-sized we were used to. Oddly, there are lots of digital thermometer readouts beside the food containers, all reading just short of boiling point, but much of the food was still only tepid. Perhaps the containers had just recently been filled when I attacked them. We were satisfied with the«process» and ambience of East India Company, but think we could get better flavours elsewhere, perhaps not so many. The cost for us was $ 25/person, in May 2016. Oh — Be careful of the floor in the serving area. I found it slippery with grease, probably from some food over-spill. There didn’t seem to be a rush to clean it up.

This has to the best Indian Food in the Country. Highly recommend It. Be sure to go hungry as there is sooo much great tasting food. The amount of flavour is present in every dish, will take you by surprise. All their chefs are brought in from India. Their butter chicken and seafood Marsala are too die for. Can’t wait to go back! Did I mention the price! You can beat that either.

Came here for a small group dinner on a Saturday evening. Check out the buffet first(as it was $ 30.00) and wanted to see if it was worth it. There were SO many options, but just could not get past the price as I was not overly starving. Ordered the vegetarian platter which came with some fried delights; halloumi cheese, spinach fritters, pakoras and and samosas. It was just OK! The star of the show was the naan bread! Id come back just for that! They really nail it with the texture and flavour. Recommend the garlic naan. The interior and service were all top notch. It is a really nice place, and the servers really do go the extra mile to make the experience a more formal experience.

There is nothing negative that I can say about this restaurant; the food is not only of excellent quality, but the assortment our selection makes it easy for someone to find something they like. The price for lunch or dinner is reasonable, and includes a nice assortment of desserts. Overall, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice restaurant with Indian cuisine. Even if you are not keen on Indian food, the butter chicken option is always a nice meal without the«Spice».

I will be back. I usually suspicious of buffets but this the best offerings that I have ever or at least in recent memory. The butter chicken and vegetable Korma are 2 of my favourites. And it was less expensive then I thought it would be. The service was a bit spotty but I think it is growing pains… otherwise I would have given the experience 5 stars. 4 ½ stars.

Vegetarian perspective as I am a vegetarian. Had I known that naan is not part of the buffet, I wouldn’t have gone. No pita or any kind of bread is provided in the buffet — you need to buy it — this is a first Indian buffet I have seen where naan/bread is not provided! Alloo mattar paneer(cottage chesse) had no paneer(cottage chesse) in it just aloo mattar. Overall quality is just average — my first and last visit.

My mother came home raving about the food, so we came back as a family a few days later. The buffet is delicious and completely worth the $ 21 cost. The dishes each taste distinctly different, which is not always the case at an Indian restaurant. My favourites were the Punjabi Kadi and lamb curry. The servers were attentive and gracious. We’ll be back.
