I completely agree with the reviews so far — unique pieces, locally designed. Most of the jewelry are made in Canada with a few designers from the states and Norway. What I love about the small local jewellery shops is that they carry one of kind pieces and usually have more of a backstory than the ones in malls and chain stores. Price wise, they are still pretty comparable to what you would find in the midrange jewellers. They don’t carry a lot of precious stones, but rather various kinds of metals(think sterling silver, rose and gold plating… Ect) which makes it more affordable and brings the price to reflect the design rather than the materials. Knowledge staff. Another great find for local jewellers.

Let me first say this isn’t People’s or Mappins Jewlers. This shop is filled with unique, quirky, one of a kind pieces, that my wife really loves.

I have been buying jewelry for various women in my life — wife, nieces, sisters, daughter-in-law — for years. I always find something appropriate, in my price range, i.e. Affordable, and unique. Service is unfailingly helpful. I know many guys are clueless for birthday, anniversary, Xmas or other gifts. Just put yourself in Bija’s hands, describe your need, price range and the person you are purchasing for and then be prepared to be a hero!!!

Bija is a great little store located in the heart of Wellington Village. Priced fairly and created by Canadian designers, you can leave the store feeling like you’re getting a good deal, while still supporting the«little guy.»
