Amazing food! Worth the wait! Our favourite breakfast place. Their baked omelettes are the best.

Delicious brunch… Worth the wait! Lined up for about 40 min on Sunday(around 11am). It was freezing but they gave out some mini chocolate chip muffins. I’ll definitely be returning when it’s warmer out Food: 4.5÷5 Tried the eggs benny, campfire omelette, and the famous toasted cinnamon bun. All super yummy. Very generous portions. Appreciated the fresh fruit. Especially since it’s winter. Home fires were great and not overly salty. Ambiance: 4⁄5 Definitely has the busy diner mood! You can see the kitchen staff working. Wish the wait wasn’t so brutal though! Service: 4⁄5 Friendly and quick

Every single time, fresh perfection. I feel like I’m eating even the smells as I walk in. Love the cozy and welcoming vibe! Eggs Benedict. #OMG foodgasmic! Excellent service. It takes longer than fast food because it’s NOT fast food. It’s scratch style.

This is a classic for brunch in Ottawa, and it’s easy to see why once you’re inside and eating. You’ll probably stand outside before you get in, but I promise its worth it. If you’re lucky, the owner will come out with bite sized pieces of cinnamon bun. It sounds simple, but it makes a difference. The food is simple, clean and delicious. This is certainly not your greasy spoon diner. It’s an eclectic joint where you can see the kitchen staff hustling about, making everything on the go. I always think it’s a good sign when you can see all the way through the kitchen. I’ve been seated and served and had the owner check up to see if we liked our food. I think it speaks volumes that he continues to do so, considering the sheer popularity of this place. I’ve had a variety of dishes, ranging from the typical waffle or pancake, to most adventurous specials they feature, and they always deliver.

Well I waited forty minutes in line for the best breakfast in Ottawa… service was okay, coffee was below average, portions were huge. I had basic poached eggs with fruit and yogurt, the fruit wasn’t ripe, mostly hard melons, yogurt was about half what you would expect. The rest of the table had pancakes and omelets, they seemed better choices. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place and it certainly was not worth the wait.

Who stands in line for food anymore? There are hundreds of restaurants in Ottawa(Google didn’t know how many). There really shouldn’t be any reason for anyone to stand in line for food… Except for the breakfast at Baker’s Street Café. I’m a strong believer in having breakfast before brunch so as long as you arrive at Baker’s Street with already something in your stomach(I challenge anyone who says they can handle being hungry in line for breakfast, especially hungover, inevitable hangry) and a coffee in hand waiting in line isn’t even that bad! It means that you can spend that much more time with your bestie complaining about f*#%ing everything. AND one of the front of house staff came out with little mini chocolate muffins about mid-wait, so totally adorable. In all, we ended up waiting 30 minutes. Once we got through the door we were sat fairly quickly. It’s obviously easier getting a table for 2 people but the staff welcomed crazy group sizes without a blink of an eye and made magic happen. The atmosphere at Baker Street is totally spot on old school diner feel with the Beatles and Rolling Stones playing. I loved the open kitchen and watching staff make omelette after crêpe after after after so many breakfast options. As soon as we sat down we were very promptly served — «COFFEEPLEASE» — they LEFTTHECOFFEETHERMOSATTHETABLE, mind blown. I ordered a special listed on the chalkboard that filled every single one of my hangover needs — fresh apple crêpe, sausage, scrambled eggs, loads of fresh fruit and then I ordered a side of their house hash browns, which was probably my favourite part because I love carbs, but they also had fried and caramelized some red and green peppers and onions with the potatoes, damn. My friend ordered the«Green Eggs & Ham» omelette which they did by whisking pesto in with the eggs which looked super tasty — I didn’t try, I had too much of my own food to take care of. She’s also gluten free which I hadn’t even thought about until we got to the restaurant. She was preparing herself for cheating until we saw the note on the menu, phew… I guess… Take away, they also accommodate food preferences. I love dedicating a Sunday solely to brunch and this is the spot to do it. We didn’t feel rushed at all once we sat down though I did have my back to the line of people that was still going at 2PM(I don’t know what that says about my friend…) All staff was so chill. Clearly it wasn’t their first rodeo but it was still really appreciated. Looking for excuses to go back! Someone, anyone, let’s go!

I can’t believe I hadn’t already rated BSC! I love it here. I guess I’d figured that it would have so many excellent reviews already that mine wouldn’t make much of a difference. But I feel that these five stars are so well deserved, and I need to acknowledge them. I visited for the first time last summer with my parents. We were waiting for MEC across the street to open, so we decided to have some breakfast in the meantime. We were about to go into the Second Cup across the street, but we saw Baker Street’s «best breakfast in town» sign in the window and we were drawn in like suckers. Miraculously, there was no line at this hour, so we got a table immediately. The host was attentive and quick to get our table ready for us. We were also seen to immediately by our server, and our food was also brought out maybe fifteen minutes after ordering. Since this first visit, my order has been the same; it’s listed as one of the items under their so-called ‘lighter fare’: a cinnamon roll, eggs and fresh fruit. I think my mom got the same thing, while I think my dad ordered the eggs benedict. Not only are the portions ENORMOUS, but the quality of the ingredients is excellent. All of us were full right up until dinner, and even then we weren’t all that hungry. Maybe I shouldn’t admit this next part since it gives some insight into my gluttony, but we enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back for breakfast the very next morning.(It helps that my parents were only visiting for the weekend). Again, the food was excellent. In terms of the wait, we weren’t so lucky during our second visit as this time there was a line up, but in about 30 minutes we were seated and stuffing food down our gullets once again. The service is smooth and efficient. No problems there. BSC isn’t a place you’d go to sit around for hours on end nibbling at your food while observing passersby out the window. It’s somewhere you go after you strategically eat less the night before just so that you can enjoy every last bite that’s on your plate.

This is an excellent choice for weekend brunch or week days lunch. Great sandwiches, especially the grill cheese with or without bacon. The fruit side to all plates is superb, and i would go just for a fruit plate, but why bother when it comes with a great sandwich. Go early as it is very popular and you can expect a line up, but it is worth the wait if you get caught in a line up.

This place is great. The food is excellent. The owner does hand out little muffins as you wait. But thats the problem. The wait. Also, over the last 2+ years, the specials on the board hasn’t changed. Please change it up! I have tried like everything on the menu already. :)

The bland breakfast is unfortunate, because the ambience is enjoyable and customer service is great. The first thing you will notice on a Sunday afternoon is that there is a line out the door. There is a constant line of people kept waiting outside even when there are empty tables around. We ordered Eggs Benedict and Blueberry Pancakes. Everything on the menu was about $ 15 which seemed a bit much for brunch. The meal itself was bland. Poached eggs were cooked well but under seasoned, and hollandaise sauce was missing that rich creaminess. The home fries were cooked with sautéed vegetables which added a bitter taste that didn’t quite jive with the rest of the meal. There was a big portion of fruit but it was not ripe. Pancakes are supposed to be light and fluffy but these feel flat and were extremely dense. It didn’t have a flavorful taste when you took a bite and makes you think you can make better hand made pancakes at home. This was quite a disappointment because there were so many great reviews of the place. It is undoubtedly popular and customers are laid back and seem to love the rock and roll ambiance and I do too. The service was amazing but the food wasn’t any better than breakfast you can whip up at home. Not worth the $ 15 price tag per dish.

I took my wife’s sister and mother here one Sunday for brunch and I came away quite impressed. The food was amazing, I had the meat pie(called something else) which was phenomenal and my wife had a waffle which was just as good. The atmosphere was nice and had a London café feel to it. The only thing I would warn you about is that there can be quite a wait, but trust me, it is worth it.

First time try this restaurant which I have known for years. It is 10:30 am saturday morning, I have to wait outside for 15 minutes. Finally got in we sat on a couch which is super relax. The food is great and fruit was really fresh the omellette is so big. The French Toast is very unique. I would recommend anyone who hasn’t try this restaurant.

Best breakfast in town by far. Everything so fresh and made with love. The toast tasted like it was cooked over a campfire! Amazing is all I have to say! Will return for sure!

You know what they say, good things come to those who wait. This is EXACTLY what you need to keep in mind if you are hoping to try Baker Street for the first time or return for your 32nd time. It’s renowned to have one of the longest lines in Westboro for brunch on weekends. Still, it’s well worth the wait for the mini banana muffins you get in line and the extensive menu options once you get seated. I’ve tried many items at Baker Street so here are my favs: — Toasted cinnamon bun, to have there or to go — They are massive and raisin-filled — Ribs and eggs — So filling but more importantly, very satisfying — Sausage — The best breakfast sausage EVER, full size sausage with every breakfast — Self-serve coffee — Not many breakfast places do this anymore so it’s nice to have this — Apple crêpe combo — With scrambled eggs, fruit, potatoes and the aforementioned sausage — Skillets filled with potatoes, assortment of toppings, scrambled eggs and cheese Any and all of the options at Baker Street are FANTASTIC options. Enjoy!

If you like lines and delicious food this is your place. Yes, no matter what time of the year you will be standing outside waiting to get in, but man is it so worth it! The food is fantastic and so many great options. I’d love to recommend a meal to order to whomever reads this, but I can’t, just close your eyes and point and you’ll get something amazing.

Drool! This is a must stop if you’re ever in the Ottawa area. Don’t let the lineup out the door discourage you, it’s worth the wait. After two rounds of free freshly baked mini muffins, my date and I got a seat. The restaurant was cozy with a small town feel. At the back, you can see them bake their freshly made cinnamon buns and waffles. I had the eggs benedict and my date had the 2 eggs with sausage, home fries, fresh fruit and toast. The eggs benedict was incredible, the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, and the eggs perfectly poached. Runny, just the way I like it. The home fries were tasty and well seasoned, tossed with onions and peppers(unlike the boring franchise home fries). And the dishes came with an array(not just a few slices) of fresh fruit, enough to satisfy the most health conscience. As much as I loved my meal, the best part was the bite of sausage my date gave me. So juicy, so good, it was to die for. If you’re ever in Ottawa, you’ve got to eat here. This has certainly been my go to ever since my friend brought me here two years ago. Five stars!

I came here from the advice of a friend. After one of those rough nights I didn’t even feel like eating but she insisted. I finally put on my Sunday morning shades and embarked on the journey. About 10 minutes later we arrived. The place was packed and only one table left(lucckky!) And we were quickly seated. The server and host were very friendly and found unique ways to make conversation. When I go for breakfast I typically like desertish stuff like red velvet pancakes so I stuck to my specialty and got chocolate chip pancakes with fruit. For 15 dollars I was very sceptical about how worth it they would be. .. I mean its pancakes with chocolate chips and fruit right… Well it was amazing! The pancakes had chocolate chips in bulk and fresh grated chocolate on top. They were COVERED in berries, melon and other delicious fruits and the portion was far more than my weak stomach could handle. The only regret I had about this place was forgetting my leftovers! I was so mad that I stupidly left them on the table but I will be back for them eventually lol. If you want a good place for breakfast ranging from 10 – 20 bucks a person you will not regret this spot! Enjoy the taste of the high end local ingredients and great plating in a casual, hip stop with some good friends!

Been coming here for awhile, consistently a great place for breakfast, expect to have a bit of a wait especially of you are going in the weekends, however if you can make it by 9 am you should be pretty safe… The wait is well worth it tho, along with great food with healthy portions, is also something that is hard to find in a restaurant ! GREATCOFFEE!!! For me it’s always a selling point! The owner is always walking around with mini muffins and making sure everything is good, all staff is friendly and attentive. A definite go to place… :)

Near perfection. The food is outstanding and the service is good. The only downer to this one would be the line up, but that is also a good thing! I mean, if people are willing to wait in line for 15 — 20 minutes that means the food is going to be good!

Hearty, delicious, flavourful… need I say more? Baker Street knows how to satisfy. Delicious breakfast potatoes cooked to perfection. Pancakes that melt in your mouth. Juicy sausages. Homemade bread. You get the point. For a pricier brunch you definitely see your dollar stretch. I think I’ve found a new favourite breakfast joint! Now you’ll have to excuse me, I think I need a nap.
