The Ten Spot – Oakville

I booked my first ever Brazilian wax and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. My esthetician was Hong and she was lovely and bubbly and made the whole experience as painless as possible. She clearly explained what she was doing at every step of the way and told me about the aftercare I needed to do. I will definitely return! There were TVs in the waxing rooms and mine was playing Friends on Netflix — kept my mind off what was happening!
Cost was $ 50 which seemed fair for the service. They also have a loyalty program which I though was pretty cool.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and offered a seat and a drink. The location was convenient — keep in mind there is only street parking and you have to pay for parking if you go during peak time.
Overall, the place is super clean, has a great staff (especially Hong!) and has a really fun vibe. I recommend it!

The Ten Spot is the best no-​fuss no-​muss beauty salon you can find. They are clean (and I mean super clean) quick and friendly. The waxing is probably my favourite service they offer. They do NOT double dip waxing sticks which makes you wonder about every other place. I only wish they were not so pricey

I am a fan of the 10 Spot on Queen in Toronto. Since moving to Oakville, I’ve been trying to find a good waxer so I thought I would try out the 10 Spot here. It opened in June. Nicky was the front desk girl I booked my appointment with and who was manning the front desk for my visit. She has quite the attitude! I called and asked for a 5:30 PM appointment on a Monday. She told me that was not available because there was ‘back to back’ appointments at the time. Could I come at 5 instead? I told her it would be hard (as I leave work at 5 usually) and said I could try to make it there for 5:15. So I get there exactly at 5:15 and she reprimands me for being late and that another client who arrived 5 minutes earlier would be taken first. No problem, that is fair. So I wait and wait… at least Nicky offered me some Earl Grey tea with a side of shade! I end up waiting until 5:45 for my wax with Kerri (or Kelly) Ann who is super sweet but her waxing skills are mediocre at best. She uses the same strip of cloth for the entire wax! Talk about being cheap. She also misses several patches that I have ask her to go over. Anyway, I finally finish and pay for my service. There is not a single other person there! What happened to the ‘back to back’ appointments at 5:30? Could you not have either A) told me you could not accommodate me or B) Please come at 5:45 instead?
