Hero Certified Burgers – Trafalgar & Dundas

I dunno what the heck some of the other reviewers are going on about, because I think this place is awesome!
The servers are very polite: there’s a young woman there with brown hair who’s super nice. The chefs have also engaged me in casual conversation on a couple of occasions.
Average ambience for a fast food place. They have really nice music. I like the bar-​style seating near the window.
The food is very satisfying; the burgers are above average in size and are filling as all hell. The chefs do tend to go a bit topping-​crazy, however, so the burgers can get a little sloppy from time to time. If you don’t want a sloppy burger, don’t order a ton of toppings.
The one thing that prevents me from giving a five star review is the prices. It’s VERY pricey: you can expect to pay 13 $ or more for a combo, and that’s not including the «extra» toppings (which can sometimes cost 2 $ each). Considering that most fast food is aboit 9 $ for a really good combo, it’s quite expensive. Feel that scorching pain on your rear? That’s Hero Burger burning a hole in your wallet.
Overall, a really good burger place in a convenient location.

Decided to give this place another try.
Showed up at opening (11am) and was first to order. Not that it mattered, as no one else came in while I was there.
Server: hi there
Me: hey, how are you?
Server: Ahh, tiiiiired
Me: …riiight. Turkey burger please.
$ 6.99 plus tax.

Not sure how their patties are formed but they seem overly compressed and chewy, no matter what meat you choose.

Nice place to eat, been here a few times. It’s definitely not fast food, takes about 5 – 10 minutes to get your food. Polite service, good food, a bit pricey though.

This burger place is TERRIBLE. I was eager to try it because I had heard good things about it, and it seemed popular, but it was a very disappointing experience. They dont even have bacon as a topping! How can a burger place not have bacon; that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. They have turkey bacon, but no regular or peameal bacon. Also, considering I got nearly every available topping, the bugger had NO TASTE whatsoever. Just, completly flavourless. Also, when they we’re cooking the burgers, the chef kept holding them up squishing them with his tongs, and sticking a thermometer in they patty a bunch of times. If your going to do this, fine, but please do it discreetly; I do not want to see my bugger being molested and probed thank-​you. All-​in-​all, one of the worst burger places I’ve ever eaten at. Coincidentally, the only other worse burger I’ve eaten was at Roxy’s which went out of business in the SAME building, prior to these guys opening up. The only reason Im giving this place 1-​Star, is because the burgers actually look like they do on the menu. But for the price, I’ll still be getting my burgers at a fast food place.
