I really like this grocery store. They have a wonderful bakery full of freshly baked goods. They have a great hot counter that also includes pizza and speciality sandwiches. Their sushi is always fresh and there is a wide variety.
The fruit and vegetables are always fresh and there is everything you could possibly imagine.
There is always a large selection of fresh seafood and meat with lots of people to help. The bulk section is huge. They also have a very nice organic section.
It is rare that I can’t get everything I’m looking for at this grocery store.
To too it off, the pharmacy staff are great too!

The lakeshore location has a great selection of everything plus an amazing bakery. I dream about Fortino’s Caramel Dacquoise (see pic) when I’m in Houston. It’s an airy, flaky, nutty meringue covered with a thick dense whipped cream and caramel.
There is a little emphasis on Italian products in addition to conventional grocery store items. I drag my family back here every time I return home.
The service is always friendly. The kind lady at the checkout noticed my niece was getting a little… umm, high maintenance, so she gave her a candy cane! That help out a lot! I will always come back to Fortino’s on Lakeshore!
