Want Boutique

Worst customer service. No one even said hello after going in 3 separate times. I am an avid spender and have spent lots of money there in the past. Will not shop there again!

I live on Avenue Road about 3 minutes from this store and when I was a teenager my mom used to buy me clothes from here. In fact, I got my grade 12 prom dress and my mom spent close to $ 800. Ya. In my mind now, that is madness for a 16 year old’s dress.
When I grew up and started to finance my own wardrobe, I only really came back to this store to buy special occasion items, like dresses for going to weddings. In the last few times I have been in here however, the service has been terrible. I did try it about three times, I thought it may have been an off day, but no I see a consistent coldness. I really regret my mother spent a dime in this store a few years back.
No one acknowledged that I was even in the store let alone offered to lend a hand. Maybe they think I am not serious about making a purchase, not sure. I am a size 2 and in the past, many items have fit me. However, I am so turned off by the staff that I won’t ever support the store.
Their clothes really are beautiful so if you do not mind this type of service then I think you will have huge success. While I don’t want someone hovering over me, if I am going to drop $ 500 plus, I expect someone to at least look at me. I am never going back. I went in with my fiancée and he too noticed the disinterest from the sales women that we were in the store.
It is a shame I live in this area and this is a local dress store for me and I am so turned off to ever go back.

When I went shopping for my prom dress, I went to practically every corner of the city of Toronto, one of the world’s fashion capitals, and was not impressed by the dresses the stores had. Most of them were tacky and too poofy, and the really hideous ones were pricey as well, which just just didn’t make any sense to me. I found some really nice dresses on sale at BCBG Outlets, but they didn’t have my size (size 0 or 00 or xs), they only carried size 4s and up, and if you’re lucky you can find a few 2s.
Then, three weeks before my prom, I thought of giving the stylish but known-​to-​be-​pricey boutiques at Avenue Rd a chance, and was dissapointed by all the tacky dresses in the prom sections at some boutiques (specifically, the Sherri Hill dresses), until, that is, I walked inside Want Boutique. The dresses were unique and stylish, and not over-​priced. All their clothes come from the US and are reasonably priced. Want Boutique sells short dresses, maxi dresses, cute tops (but I only focused on the short dresses that day so I can’t really critique the other clothing items). I was extremely happy to find that they had my size in a gorgeous and unique fitted blue ruched dress at the sale price of only $ 180!
I strongly reccommend going to Want Boutique for dress shopping. It offers a great variety of beautiful dresses to fit your budget!
