It’s a Subway. What can I say? Maybe that I think it’s one of the better ones.
I tend to go here after 9pm on a (slightly embarrassingly) regular basis. I live and work nearby, so that’s my excuse. The sandwich artist working in the evening is always friendly, fast, and keeps a nice clean location.
The veggies look and taste fresh, and he seems to take care not to mix ingredients together (which I know is kind of a persnickety detail, but I notice.)
One of my favourite things though, is that when I say «easy on the sauce» he actually goes easy on the sauce. And asks if that’s enough, he doesn’t just pour first and ask questions later, like I’ve had at other places.
So if you find yourself in the Don mills /​York mills area, looking for a quick bite, there are options! Though just FYI there is a Freshii just a block over.
