Even though I live right beside Bayview Village Mall, I never visited this store until last weekend, when the 70% discount signs lured me inside with false promises of a bargain. Mostly I’ve avoided this place because I feared I would fall in love with something extravagant and have to face the option of breaking my budget or breaking my heart. I’m not good at spending a lot on shoes; it makes me feel kind of nauseous. That being said, my recent purchase of «discounted» shoes here was STILL the most I’ve ever spent on shoes. Was it worth it? Yes. Worth it in the sense that I wanted shoes for a special occasion where their Badgley Mischka glory will be photographed into immortality. And worth it in the sense that I still can’t find another pair that come close. I’m not a shoe-aholic, but if you are I suggest you avoid this place unless you plan to get really spendy.

for the fashion slut in all of us this is a good bet. if you can stomach buying a pair of shoes for 400 to 500 bucks, then you can enter with the intention of doing more than just gawking or drooling. I find that, even though I have been in David’s a number of times before in my life, and know that it has a reputation for nice shoes, I usually only find one or two pairs in which i am interested when i go. i find that this store caters more to a conservative clientele(at least in mens shoes), where youll find lots of brogues, in suede, in brown and black leathers, etc. it seems that most of the shoes I checked out were made well, and were probably made with good quality materials. Most were made in Italy and I would imagine by hand, if the price is as high as it is.(Of course it depends on the materials used as well.) so if you have the cash to blow, want a good quality shoe, love the well known labels then you might find a really elegant smart looking shoe, and even one that is especially fashion forward or unique in its design.
