Worst salon experience. I booked an appointment and went in to get the setting perm done. First of all, the stylist wasn’t ready so I was waiting for her and she couldn’t speak English so when a non Korean customer called to book an appointment she asked me if I could speak to her(why are you making the customer take your calls?) I even brought reference pictures and asked if the stylist can do this for me. she didn’t even look at the pictures and did what she wanted. I don’t know the same of the girl but she wears thick makeup, has dyed yellow hair with bangs. She was extremely unprofessional, she would stop my procedure and put on makeup, would keep complaining that she was hungry(what do you want me to do?) In addition she did not listen to what i wanted. The procedure took 5 long hours because she was always getting distracted.(This procedure does take several hours but it shouldn’t take more than 3 – 3.5 hours — based on many previous experiences) In addition, I didn’t get what I asked for and my hair is now severely damaged more than it was. Worst of all, the stylist said she would charge 250 $ for the entire procedure but as soon as I go go pay she says its $ 300(what the fuck?) Honestly, I will never go back because the entire experience was horrible and very unprofessional. PS: to all non-Korean customers, save your time and go somewhere else, the staff here prioritize Koreans and jack up the prices for non Koreans. Everyone save your time and go somewhere else there are so many Asian(Korean run) salons near the area, so save your money and go somewhere more professional

This place has gotten pricey over the last few years, but the owner is great with hair. She can do any style, any way you want it, and is good at helping you get what you want from your hair. She is also good at suggesting hairstyles. However, the newer members /juniors are often too rough with washing and drying, and should probably have shorter nails. Also, it is probably best to get an appointment, and even if you do, they might make you wait a while. I find it helps to remind them once in a while because sometimes they forget that you are waiting.

Tried it once and it was just OK. The place was very clean but smelled very badly of chemicals. I was a walk-in so don’t know who cut my hair.

Korean haircutter right beside Finch Station. The stylists’ English is limited for the most part, but Rebecca is great in that department. Simple haircuts for men are quick(20 – 30 minutes) and they are usually on time for appointments. $ 18 cash including tax(I normally tip $ 2 to make it a $ 20)

This is a Korean hair salon right by Finch Station. It’s a very convenient location. So my first impression of this salon when I entered was«damn it smells of chemicals». However, the staff were nice and welcomed me with a hello. Since I don’t speak Korean, I came here with the help of a Korean friend. We arrived without an appointment and had to wait a good hour and a half(most likely because it was the day before Christmas). It was super crowded with young folk around my age! I maybe only saw one ajumma here and she was getting a perm done. I came here for a colour and cut. It costs $ 30 for women’s cut, and $ 60 for the colour(since I have short hair). I believe it costs about $ 70 – 80 for colour on longer hair. They do not charge tax, so these are final prices. Their colour catalogue has a lot of colours to choose from(purples, reds, blues). My hairstylist did a good job on my colour, I wanted chocolate brown and got what I wanted. The cut was also nice(got my friend to explain it to the stylist). But I find that the stylist didn’t talk to me or get to know me as a person, which is an important part of going to a salon. Also, I felt a little neglected while waiting in waiting area. What I also do not like is that for plain cuts, hair wash is not included. My sis came in for just a cut and they didn’t do any wash. Perhaps they decided to cheat a bit and not give her a hair wash? It’s pretty standard to do a hair wash before or after a cut at salons. In my opinion, that makes it not so worthwhile to get a cut here. She wasn’t happy with her haircut, but the receptionist was nice and told her that if she is still not happy after a week, she can come back and they’ll cut and style it again free of charge. I’m not too sure if I would come back since I have a language barrier and prefer my hairstylist to be able to speak to me.

This haircut salon is really great and is extremely popular with a lot of teens and university kids. It is tucked away in a small stretch 3 minutes away from the Finch GO Bus terminal. There are a lot of haircut salons I have been to but I have constantly gone back to this one because of their consistency and professionalism. The barbers here are very good at what they do and know how to cut your hair, and best of all it is not expensive at all! The décor in the place is very nice and clean, with red and white everywhere and mirrors all over the place. There is a seating area at the front and at the back where you can read korean magazines and drink water or tea. On busier days, the wait could be as long as one hour so make sure you have a reservation if you plan on going on a saturday. The staff here is extremely friendly although many of them cannot speak english well. I have only gotten standard cuts here so I’m not sure how the process works for other things but a haircut would be simply choosing your style from a magazine, showing your barber, getting your hair cut, getting your hair washed, getting you hair dried, then waxed or sprayed if preferred. They are very quick and good at the haircuts so you won’t have to sit there for hours as they cut every little strand of hair. I am an asian guy if you haven’t noticed by now so finding a hair salon that knows how to cut hair like mine(if you’re asian you would know never to cut your hair at first choice) is quite difficult but this place always gets my hair right, cheap($ 20 flat) and no hassle. If you’re looking for a haircut salon without spending too much make sure you check this place out, they’re great.
