Ararat offers an Aladdin’s cave of delights. Spices, nuts, exotic jarred, tinned and bagged goods from all over the world, but especially the Middle east. Plus the best tabboule, hummous and babaganoush you will find in Toronto. Limited parking. Sweet owners who are eager to show you around and offer you a free coffee.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My parents have been coming here for 20+ years and I can tell why. Not much room to walk around, but that’s because they carry so much good stuff. Their feta is wonderful, their olives delicious, and the hummus tasty (really loved the chipotle one). Dolmas were also good, as well as the pita they stocked (not made by them). Highly recommended for Greek or other similar types of food. The owners are incredibly friendly and always love seeing my parents when we’re up there during summer.

Just returned from Toronto. I stopped in Ararat because i had such a good experience a few years back. Bought some specialties to bring back to san Diego. Service even better than last time best feta cheese I ever had and olives. wow! The owner apparently cures them and adjusts the brine. What a difference. Probably best specialty food store I have been in. Every single item is best it could be and the place is not that big. Bravo!

This shop is hidden in an ubiquitous spot and you blink you miss kind of way. The parking is extremely tight so if you have a big SUV you are better of parking across the street. Good selection of ethnic items (sujuck, bastrama, turkish delight etc) There is a very good selection of feta cheese here and a friend who is a connoisseur buys his feta form here or a Persian brand that comes in a can. It is pricey though but I guess good feta always is. Sales people are friendly.
The aisles are pretty tight but they are stacked with interesting items.
They also serve sandwiches which seemed to popular.
A nice place to get turkish/​armenian stuff if you live nearby.
