I’ve eaten here a few times, the last was when my ant from London was in town a few years ago and we took her to some of the tourist hot spots. This is the eatery that was located near the Bridge for tourists of course. It is American comfort food at slightly high prices but not that high. Everything was well plated and well prepared. I am in love with the outside décor which resembles a cottage home like in story books. Customer service was friendly which was expected considering that they need to put their best foot forward for tourists.

Even on a rainy day in November it was an awesome trip! We got their early and basically had the whole park to ourselves. The bridge wasn’t as scary as it looked online.

Tourist traps around the world tend to have some of the worst places around them. This place bucks that trend in spades. The Bridge House is THE spot to go after or even during your visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The food is fresh and delicious. Looking for a soup and salad combo? The candied salmon salad is one of the most well balanced sweet salads I’ve had and their seafood chowder, while traditional, is executed beautifully. Looking for fish and chips? This place won’t disappoint, they are crispy and tender exactly the way its suppose to be. Top it off with a healthy craft beer selection on tap and some BC wines, the Bridge House is worth the trip.

My mother-in-law was in town so we took her here for lunch. All three of us were disappointed with the experience. I ordered the seafood chowder which was served luke-warm to cold. We overheard a couple at the neighbouring table send theirs back for the same reason. They gave us water but never took our drink order. My husband ordered a burger and despite the menu saying the meat was all local, it was clearly a frozen patty. My mother-in-law ordered soup and bread. The bread was 2 paper thin grilled pieces of baguette. She asked for more bread and they said there would be a charge. Being fairly hungry she said that was fine. More bread came, not toasted and no butter. We noticed our neighbours had been given butter. The service was quite cold overall. Location was good right outside Capilano bridge but save your money and drive into town for a better experience.

Very nice place with delicious food. They have a very beautiful garden, when you just finish your adventure in Capilano national park, have a good rest here, praise yourself with a Salmon burg, life is good.

This place has great fish and chips. I was slightly hesitant since they are $ 21 and i’ve had some bad ones in the past but rest assured these were well worth it. Somehow they managed to perfectly cook the fish without it being over cooked and yet with nice crispy batter. The dishes ordered by the others in our party were equally good. The setting outdoors is lovely and the service was good Highly recommended.

What a cute place! So much character, inside and out. Brother, mom, and I came here around 2:00pm on a Wednesday afternoon in late June. It was raining… big surprise, right :) so the outside seating was not really practical. Consequently, the seating was limited, but we only had to wait a few minutes. Friendly, and attentive service. Brother got fish and chips: Breading was sweet and crispy, and fish was thick and nicely textured. Mom got a burger: Zucchini relish was tasty. fires were served in an adorable fry basket. I ordered the soup and bread: Daily soup was a chicken and rice. Sometimes rice in these soups can be hard and chewy, but the rice was cooked perfectly and it was so tender. Food was delicious. Final total $ 59.

Not what you think! This place is awesome! Go later in the day for a lighter crowd and DON’T forget your camera! plan to spend 3 hours to really enjoy all that Capilano has to offer!

The cutest cottage right in front of the entrance to the Suspension Bridge — and it even has a scandalous story behind it! It was built in the 30’s for a widow by a lover 20 years her junior. Juicy stuff! Lunch out on the patio is charming and my crab cakes were pretty good. The special of the day, the chicken quesadilla, was huge and delicious. And while we ate, our party and a huge group of onlookers were entertained by a beekeeper capturing a ton of hives from the tree out front!

From 2−5pm, Bridges Restaurant serves high tea. There are two options: 1) Two O’Clock Tea, which is your basic tea and scones or 2) Afternoon Tea for Two, where you get the tea, scones, plus sandwiches, strawberries, and cake. The scones and that jam are really delicious! Service is a bit on the slow side, but I’m willing to overlook that if they keep making those scones. One thing that I was a bit bummed about was when we asked for a boxes to take the leftovers home, they didn’t have a little container for the jam. Please get some little containers, Bridges Restaurant! I was sad to leave the jam behind.
