Definitely not recommended. Staff were good. Unfortunately the food was not. Flavour wasn’t there. Temperature was off. I’ve never been disappointed like this in a sushi place. Many other good places in the area. If you try it here, hope your experience is better than mine.

Some of the best sushi I have eaten in Vancouver. Not to mention the completely reasonable price for the quality. Cute and relaxing atmosphere. Great service. Will be back!

Very good quality sushi, one of the best on the North Shore, and definitely better than a lot of places in Vancouver! Their special rolls are great! Highly recommend the Crispy White Mountain Roll, which is a california roll topped with yam tempura, crispy potato crunch, and garlic mayo. Also recommend the Red Dragon roll and New York New York rolls. Their chicken karaage is also tasty, crunchy of the outside and juicy on the inside. I’m happy that this place has opened in North Van!

My mom came here once with someone she knew and she thought it was decent. So I decided to come here with her. While their prices definitely can be improved upon, but I felt their sushi was decent. I’ve had a sushi combo, negitoro maki, and the sashimi that my mom wanted to try(can’t remember the name). The result ended up tasting good. It was quick too(probably because there was only a few people there at the time). The only thing about this place that I would change is the prices because if you’re one of those that wants a good deal for your sushi, this place isn’t special, but it sure is tasty. Lastly, the waitresses are pretty friendly, so that’s a plus.

Honestly the best sushi experience I have ever had. I had the assorted tempura, New York New York roll and the negitoro roll. Great food, friendly service, clean venue. Can’t really ask for more. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to my friends in the area.

Very high quality sushi at a very reasonable price. I think it is the best place for sushi in Lynn Valley area.

Went for lunch today. Had lunch combo B myself and it has a decent combination and choice of California Roll or Spicy Tuna Roll. Tempura(separate order) was light and not greasy. Would prefer one scoop of rice with the combo(for 5 stars) otherwise it is a good place for sushi.

Sat down for a quick early dinner on Wednesday at 5pm. Restaurant was quite empty which made the service very quick. Now on to the food: Absolutely amazing! My 3 go to places in North Van were Yamasushi, Mr. Sushi and Akatombo. Now my number 1 and only is Sushi 5. I ordered the Nigiri combo, came with 1 tuna roll and assorted nigiri. Salmon was perfect, tuna was perfect, Toro was perfect and even the tako was perfect and easy to chew.(usually rubbery elsewhere). Alaska roll with smoked salmon was fantastic. Even a simple chicken Teriyaki roll made of chicken breast was excellent. Very much recommend this place and I plan to be there every Wednesday!

Beautifully prepared sushi. I enjoyed a few new roll combinations. Lynn Valley is a competitive sushi area, and Sushi 5 has the best of the lot. I would, without hesitation, go further and say that Sushi 5 stands with the best in greater Vancouver

I have tried at least 25 different sushi restraunts in Vancouver and this one surpasses all of them by so much that this will always be my favorite go to sushi place. Friendly staff, very clean. the food is not just beautifully presented it’s also the most delicious sushi I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced and good portions, wide variety of menu, something for everyone. Quick service, quality ingredients and skilled chefs. This is a must try for anyone in the area. Period. The other nearby sushi places are so disappointing in comparison. My favorite is the crispy white mountain roll– a California roll with yam tempura crispy potato flakes and spicy mayo on top. The spicy tuna is also excellent. New York roll is another favorite– dynamite roll with spicy tuna on top. This is a new restraunt, but seriously, try it. You won’t be disappointed.
