This place is way too overpriced for what it is. $ 30 got two of us each a crispy chicken sandwich with cheese(which was actually 3 chicken tenders on a bun, which made it extremely difficult to eat than if it would’ve been an actual chicken breast or paddy like any other chicken sandwich you eat and they forgot to add the cheese so we had to go back to get a cold slice plopped ontop of the 3 tenders that were falling off the bun), one large fry and one milkshake. WAYTOOEXPENSIVE! The sandwich, though difficult to eat was pretty tasty, but not tasty enough for me to go out of my way to come back here again. The fries were nothing to write home about and the milkshake was pretty tasty, but a bit on the thick side. The staff was a bunch of younger kids who probably could’ve used a supervisor over the age of 21 to keep them in check. More than a couple time we heard someone complaining about something, or one of the staff members having to apologize.

Really this is 2 stars for service and 3 stars for the food, which I will return to try again, despite the fact that I paid nearly $ 17 for the smallest burger, small fries, and small milkshake. This was my first visit and I arrived right after they had opened for the day. All 3 of the employees were at the back of the restaurant when I walked in and they looked up, only to look back down and continue with whatever they were doing. I wasn’t greeted and they made no hurry to walk to the front for my order. From there, it’s not that the service was *bad* its that it was mostly nonexistent. The two girls working weren’t particularly outgoing, friendly, or welcoming but one of them did bring my food to the table without me having to get back up, so I suppose there is that. One huge pet peeve: for myself(and everyone else I heard ordering), once you began your order they would interrupt to ask if the order was eat in or take out. If this is the critical first thing you need to know, please ask me first before interrupting me. One thing that was shocking to me was the painfully thin patty on my burger. While the burger(bun, fixings) itself was quite large, the patty was literally the thinnest layer apparently weighing in at 3 ounces. Thin to the point that I could barely taste meat. I’ll return, but I will get the 5 ounce party. At $ 1.50 for bacon and $ 1.50 for cheese(highway robbery), a burger gets expensive quickly. But I will say that the fried onion straws are a nice(and free) addition. Huge fry serving for one person. Good creamy milkshake… nothing fancy or homemade but a great comment to the burger and fries. Coke Freestyle machine with free refills is a bonus. Decent parking.

An upscale version of fast food, for a very over the bridge price. 30+ bucks for a basic burger meal for two… way too much for what you get. That being said, the buns are decent, the burgers are not over pressed and I like how you can customize. I am off carbs for the moment and they actually carve a little bun cup shape to hold my burger in lettuce. For those of you who often get the lettuce wrap option, this is by far the best… nothing falls out and it holds all the fixins no matter how piled high. The milkshakes are liquid Nestlé crap mixed with soft serve and taste awful. I liked the fried pickles and yam fried as sides but they are so tiny and so expensive for the small amount you get. I hate that I ordered a side of fried pickles that were hot from the fryer but the fried pickles garnishing our buns were ice cold and tasted old and stale. I guess they have a stack of cold ones on the side of the fryer to use as garnish.ugh. Not a bad place to get a burger fix, but definitely a painful hit to the wallet.

These burgers were delicious. The beef was delicious and the texture spot on. The fried onion strings combined with the fresh veggies and moohyah sauce made it an awesome sandwich.(The lil moo was a 3oz burger and the moohyah burger 4oz) The fries were pretty good. The milkshake was a little to thick but tasty. The part that sucks was, 2 burgers, 2 small shakes and 1 small fry was $ 30. The tables weren’t very clean and the trash cans were all full.

Came here with my family and was pleasantly surprised. Very cute joint with the new improve pop machine. We ordered the mooyah burger with a poutine and it did not disappoint. The milk shake is a must try. Everything tasted fresh and juicy. I would definitely recommend it if you are craving for a good burger

I appreciate a burger place that works with actual meat unlike other fast food places. With this said this is a bit more $$ than what most may be used to if they buy a lot of fast food. I did have high hopes for this place and although my burger wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t what I had hoped it would be. It was average. The patty was cooked right, however, there were no spices to it. Average bun and toppings. Good concept and alternative but will hold out for Five Guys next time.

After our JDRF Walk at Stanley Park, we drove to North Vancouver. On our way, we saw Mooyah Burgers and thought we should try them out. The inside was clean and you can smell the burger, smells really good! I wasn’t really happy with the service. The cashier wasn’t smiling and has a look that she’d rather be somewhere else. She’s also rushing us, which I hate when they do that because you haven’t even decided what you want to order, yet. I’d understand if there were people behind us, waiting, but there weren’t. So, rushing us to order was unnecessary. The menu was really confusing. You have two options. One is you create your own, and two is you select the quick pick burgers. We ordered one of the quick picks, which is the Mooyah Burger for $ 6.95 each(plus tax). They don’t have combo deals, so if you want to add fries, you pay separate for an extra $ 3.15 for a small fries, and if you want pop, that extra $ 2.75, which I think is pretty expensive. When we got the burger, I thought there was a mistake. It was really small. The picture was misleading, in my opinion. The burger, however, was really good and tasty. It’s served with one small deep fried pickle on top. Their fries were really tasty, too. What amazes me as well was their pop dispenser. There’s A LOT of options. We tried the Vanilla Coke. It was really good. I remember tasting Vanilla Coke only in Asia and didn’t know they have it here. All in all, it was a really good experience. Service, not really, although the manager was really nice and I thought she really cares about customer. The cashier, nahh, not really. The food tasted great. The place was a little on the expensive side, especially for the mini burgers we ordered. Will I comeback here? It’s a maybe.

patty is smaller than expected for 7.95, bun is pretty low standard, bill time(20 minutes!!!) is obscene and still they didn’t check to make sure the build(I didn’t ask for onions, so I shouldn’t have received them) was inaccurate. Even with bacon and swiss, the burger was disappointing.

Ordered a burger and fries with a chocolate shake The burger was not customized entirely how I wanted it to be, and was actually smothered in mustard on both sides of the bun which ruined it because all I could taste was sharp smelly mustard! I asked for the fries to have no salt repeatedly, and still received them salted. The chocolate shake while thick is nothing more than liquid chocolate sauce mixed with powdered shake. IT’s not actually chocolate ice cream. I found it too expensive as each item has a seperate price. The futuristic build your own flavor pop machine though and ambience was very cool!

Mooyah’s is working up to being my favourite burger on the north shore. Awesome staff too! Keep up the good work.

Came to Canada and what’s the first thing I grub on? Duh… B U R G E R! This definitely tops Five Guys back at home. I ordered the classic single with bacon, cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, and fried onion strings. Oh man, let’s just say I know how to make a burger… haha. Jk flavors were amazing and the meat was absolutely juicy. Definitely try this place if you’re ever in the area.

Good concept — build your own burger. Choose your burger, bun, toppings, etc. Endless options to customize your burger. Clean, diner atmosphere. In my opinion, however, it was WAY, WAY, WAY overpriced. The food was OK, but not worth the price tag. $ 9 for 5 chicken tenders? For $ 9, I could have bought two fully cooked rotisserie chickens at Sams Club(just saying). $ 12.95 for a burger combo meal? $ 7 for the kids’ grilled cheese(which was two pieces of sliced cheese — barely melted — between two of their hamburger buns). We’re not poor by any stretch of the imagination, but we’re also conscious of how we spend our money and this is NOT the place to take the family for a casual meal. In addition, I had a question about the total for our meal(3 burger combo meals, 5 chicken tenders and a kid’s meal) as, according to my math, it seemed a bit high. I was having a hard time sorting out how much everything should have cost because their receipt was exceedingly long and practically indecipherable. I approached the woman at the counter for some clarification and she was not able to explain the charges to me — she said the $ 10 discrepancy between their total and my total was due to taxes. Taxes??? $ 10 in taxes??? One star for the cool Coke machine. Another star for the fries.

It was good. As mentioned by other reviewers, on the expensive end of the spectrum, considering the setting. Same price as White Spot only no table service, coleslaw or unlimited fries. Knowing that it would be on the expensive side of fast food, I went balls out and built myself an $ 11 burger with double cheese, bacon and avocado — which in comparison isn’t much more than a similarly built burger at Triple O’s. I could have gone bigger but didn’t feel like adding beef patties. Nice touches: — variety of cheese — sauces — breaded-fried onion strands — fried pickle on top I’m not quite sure about the other reviews that state that the burgers lacked meat, you have two options of beef patty size(standard and original — original being a larger patty for a $ 2 up charge), and the you have the option of doubling or tripling the meat for an extra charge. I had the original patty, which was the larger of the two and was satisfied with the meat portion. Being able to order a whole wheat bun was a nice, added bonus. I found the fries to be OK, and the coke machine to be super cool, they even had vanilla root-beer — how cool is that? The burger was more than satisfactory and I would eat here again. My only complaint is that the meat was slightly overcooked and had some char spots(which is fine when it is flame grilled but this was made on a griddle, where you end up with a dryer piece of meat).

Had a awesome burger today on the Shore. Mooyah Burger is the North Shore knock off of Five Guys Burgers, but only better. Price is a little less than Five Guys. Food quality is fresh and burgers are made to order. Mooyah also has great milk shakes. In my opinion Mooyah is going after the Chipotle business model of upscale fast food. Might be one of the best burgers I ever had. One tip sometimes less is more when it comes to dressing up your burger.

4 stars for the marketing & décor, but 3 stars for their milkshake, or if you can call a chocolate milkshake that uses vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce haha. Well, staff is honest about it, so there’s the extra star. Free parking. No Amex here.

First time coming in here and the place has a very diner feel décor, very clean and neat place. Just entering the door you can smell there fresh baked buns. And«YES» they do make there own buns in there right in by the cashier. You choose everything what you put on your burger, including white or wheat bead, vegetables, what kind of sauce and cheese you put, and any other toppings. And a generous freshly cut fried fries on the side. Though there burgers and kinda small or should I say average size, taste wise there not as bad at all. A little healthier choice to other burger joints out there with all the grease you can taste. They have also have impressive fountain drink machine or they call free style machine. I have to say the place is a bit over price When we have to pay $ 50+ for a 2 adult meal and 1 child meal.

Very disappointed. Size of the burger: Not for an adult man Price: Overpricing about $ 15 Quality: Shake — Taste not much better than McDonald’s(Arby’s one is much better Burger — the beef is overcooked with burnt By the way, you can call your lawyer and sue this Mooyah advertising with fault statement… «100% ALL American beef» printed on the cup, and«100% Canadian beef» on the wall. or the brand name of the Canadain beef is «ALL American beef»?

Recently went here after driving past it so many times. I got the Mooyah burger(no additional toppings), with a small fries and a drink. I found the burger to be a bit on the small side. I’m a small(albeit pregnant) woman, but even I found the burger a little small. The order came to a total of $ 15. A little pricey, but they do make it fresh for you. They even warn you it will take 12 – 15 minutes for your order. So if you’re in a hurry, don’t come here expecting your food in a paper bag quickly. The fries is what will bring me back again and again. Although they don’t have gravy(I know… whaaaat?!), the fries were hot, fresh, crispy, and delicious. I asked for packs of mayo to dip them in. The fries won me over. They also have a neat fountain drink machine which is all automated on a touch screen — athough I don’t know how long you would have to wait for a drink if there’s a big lineup while people figure out how to press all the buttons. And«Coke» doesn’t just mean regular coke. They had cherry coke, vanilla coke, lime coke… flavours I had never heard of. All in all, the portion size of the burger, the slightly high price, order wait time, and the lack of gravy deprived them of a full 5* rating, but I will definitely return when I want those fries!
