My gold standard for breakfast. I judge all others against it. All the elements of this breakfast, from the orange yolks of the eggs to the perfectly crisped bacon, are consistent every time. I say that as someone who has been there easily over a hundred times. On that note, what is happening? Are you coming back? Seriously missing my breakfast né plus ultra.

Yummy, simple brunch food. Nothing fancy, but decent portions, and I believe they use local ‘happy’ eggs. That’s a bonus! Nice diner-type energy, small, bright, friendly staff. I always get the eggs benny with a fluffy pancake and it really hits the spot on a Saturday at noon. You always know who the first-timers are at this place because they try to reserve a table before ordering… You must Order first Then claim a table! :) It’s always upsetting when I procrastinate too long on the weekend, check my watch and it’s after 2pm(because they’re closed).

Good ‘ol breakfast joint if you are in the North Vancouver area. We are staying right by the Lonsdale Quay and we were directed here by the locals. It is a simple greasy spoon diner and the portions are decent. As far as the endless coffee goes. isn’t that the norm for all restaurants these days?.. I see rave reviews about the endless coffee. where have you guys been eating? There are many places to eat in the area, but if you want simple, unpretentious fare with good service and a smile this is it. I saw all sorts of locals in here. going in and out. this is a good place.

Good greasy spoon diner. Excellent value — decent food, big portions at a good price. Smoked salmon omelette was very filling but that was because it not only had salmon but lots of mushrooms and peppers as well. Though I liked the veg I think it took away from the signature ingredient being the salmon. Daily special of pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns were excellent. Nice crispy outer edge to the two thick pancakes and nice French fried hashbrowns. The eggs benny with hashbrowns was also good but would have liked a bit more hollandaisse sauce. Glad that they institute a policy of placing your order at the counter before finding your seating. This helps to regulate the flow. Found it more organized to find an appropriate seating arrangement in a relatively small and very busy establishment. Would definitely return cause love the feel(very basic but it works), the food and the coffee was ok as well. But still don’t know if they have washrooms ;)

Good service, fast, efficient with delicious food. Not your pretentious breakfast places and its hearty food satisfies until mid afternoon. Best banana pancakes and hash brown cubes ever! Eggs done perfectly in either style and the place is always packed! That’s saying something.

Ok relax. This isn’t a place for gourmet organic goat cheese frittata with mixed greens and dijon vinaigrette. You’re not going to get a soy milk macchiato. There are no locally sourced boysenberry pies. This is breakfast with a small b. Simple, clean, no nonsense breakfast. If that’s not what you want, then ignore my four stars and stop reading now. However if you are indeed in the mood for homestyle toast, bright well-cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and quality, bottomless coffee, then come and get in line. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the food is good. It’s food that doesn’t confuse your palette, and you’re probably not going to break out your smartphone to instagram your plate to the world, but you will leave satisfied and smiling. Haters gonna hate. But I’m a fan of Moodyville’s.

I have officially given up on this place and it pains me to do so. It’s not going to get any better. When I first moved to North Vancouver it was a favourite spot, but as time goes on waiting 40 minutes for bacon and eggs became to much. Why does it take that long to make what are basically simple meals? Most times I walk past and there are no seats and half the tables waiting for orders. If they could speed up the food preparation they would have a higher turnover and likely make a good deal more money. I imagine every day people hear«it’ll be 30 to 40 minute wait» and decide to go elsewhere. The food is decent, nothing fancy but decent. I agree with a review that the bacon is about the driest I have ever seen in a restaurant.

This is your average neighborhood diner. Very friendly group working here, tasty enough food and good prices. I ordered the salmon benny, and thought it was pretty tasty. I didn’t realize it came with deep fried potatoes… otherwise i would have asked for something else. I can cook those potatoes at home, I don’t need to pay a restaurant to fry from a bag. The corned beef hash was mediocre. It was basically just fried potatoes that were added to a little bit of corned beef and some vegetables and stir fried. What really didn’t settle well with me here, was watching the cashier/dishwasher/food runner go from dish washing(yes, I watched her wash) to buttering toast, without washing her hands…
