Crepe Escape

Crepes — ordered banana Nutella crepes, very good, but could use extra Nutella
Coffee — latte was extremely good! I would say better than Starbucks
Overall, I would definitely go here again when in town.

It’s sad that it’s the only place in North Vancouver that does crepes specifically because well, they suck. They are EXTREMELY overpriced and the quality sucks. Honestly, save your money and go somewhere else.

After my disappointment with Beaver tails going belly up, had to get my sweet tooth craving out of the way.
Figured I ordered a safe and boring one, the banana nutella. While that was good, the crêpe wasnt, almost a bit too dough-​y. Not crispy along the edges either.
And for a few bucks more, Café Crepes is better.

I don’t eat a lot of crepes, so when my friend and I decided to go to the Quay for lunch, I was kind of excited to have something different from my norm.
My excitement slowly dwindled. And when I say slow, I mean picture the slowest sloth on earth making you a crêpe. I’ve never seen a woman move so slowly. This resulted in the crêpe being a bit overcooked. I don’t know how they stay in business moving at this pace. Furthermore, she tried to put meat on my crêpe when I was very clear about what I wanted on it. I feel her English isn’t up to par and perhaps she shouldn’t be taking the orders. If I hadn’t been standing there falling asleep with one eye open, I would have missed her mistake and had to wait another 20 minutes for her to make me a new one.
The crêpe itself was fine. Nothing to write home about. I’ll take part of the responsibility since I chose what went on it, but the other part was due to how tough the crêpe itself was from it being overcooked.
I doubt I’ll go back. I don’t really feel like they had great prices as mentioned either, but I suppose I haven’t been to a ton of crêpe places.

Ok crepes for an ok price. They do have a fairly good ice cream too. Nothing special, but convenient and not pricey.
