Not bad but not worth the price. We had the Pescatore and Curry Shrimp linguine($ 20 ea). Portions were good but not very flavourful, very little sauce. We had the house red; surprisingly tasty. Service was exceptional! Truly European standard. The décor was dated and worn out. The center of the room was a post for everyone’s jackets on hooks. Seriously in need of a renovation. We had to ask to have A/C turned off. INJANUARY! This place has the potential to be great. Let’s see if they have the courage to reinvent themselves.

I was at a work dinner function so the review is based on the set menu we were given. The menu selection had a little bit of everything to appeal to everyone’s food preferences. Service was very good. Our server was quick to take our drink and food orders. Food arrived fairly quickly. My poached pear salad was good and there was plenty of blue cheese. I was expecting a half or whole pear and not a cut up pear for presentation purposes. People were raving about the mushroom soup and the soup did look tasty. The pasta tasted fresh. I chose the spaghetti bolognese. It is not the best pasta I have eaten, but it was decent. The sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes which is a good thing. The dessert round was a shared dessert plate. I was not a fan of that for hygienic reason. There was no separate utensils to pick up the dessert and people were digging in with the same spoon they were eating with so I skipped that portion of the meal. I would have preferred my own dessert. Overall, I did enjoy most of the food and good conversations with my fellow work colleagues.

Went for a work lunch a few weeks ago. Very old school white table cloth service. It’s a little to old school to be comfortable. Food was ok nothing special nothing great. I’m sure this place was fantastic in the 80’s.

I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant and was very much looking forward to giving it a shot. I love Italian food and recently relocated to the North Shore, so was stoked to find a good spot close to home. However, when I called to confirm my reservation for New Years Eve(that I made approx. a month and a half ago) the gentleman on the other end was shockingly rude. He couldn’t find my reso on his list and insisted I didn’t have one, when I insisted that I did and asked him to check again he sounded super annoyed. He eventually found my reso and told me that I need to inform him properly of the name if I want information becasue he has a list of 60 people in front of him. Ok, whatever man. So we ate here last night and it was disappointing for sure. Our server was super friendly and tentative, which is great, but when we sat down we were told that they were only serving a special set menu and nothing on the regular menu was available. Our server apologized that we weren’t informed when I made the reso, but honestly I wasn’t impressed with the options, nothing seemed very Italian. My starter and main weren’t anything special, lobster linguine was rubbery and over cooked. My boyfriends were delicious though. Unfortunately there was a hair in his soup(yuck). All in all for $ 230 including wine and tip it wasn’t worth it and we’re in no rush to go back.

Didn’t think there was anywhere impressive to eat on the North Shore, but I’ve found one. Beautiful food, fantastic service and the ambience was perfect. I had a mushroom/truffle/hazelnut soup which was so incredibly tasty, as was the pasta with aurora sauce. I will be back for sure.

I had heard from friends etc. to try brava cucina. I ordered salmon and salad. Honestly, so disappointing. Fish was lousy, drowning in a tangy watery sauce. Salad was a little better. Not going back for the price… a rip off. 3 thumbs down.

Been there once and haven’t been impressed. It looks to me a bit overpriced, the food is not fresh, nothing special about it. «Italians» are rather some waiters from Quebec who may seem exotic to some naïve customers. I simply don’t get it when I see the restaurant pretty full in the evening…

Absolutely love this restaurant. Every time I go I order the seafood risotto, it’s to die for. The portion sizes are good and food is always very flavorful. Last time I visited they had a halibut on special, 2 of the people I was dining with ordered it and said it was absolutely divine. I had a small bite and I’ve never had such perfectly cooked fish in my life. The restaurant is quaint and quite small but the staff is attentive and nice. Complimentary bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar are served upon seating and are a perfect way to begin a meal. Heard great reviews some friends which is why we dined there in the first place. Usually not very busy so a great place for an intimate dinner. Have and will be back again.

Checked in here at 19:30 hrs… ordered the crab cakes and antipasto for 2… linguini carbonara… salmon linguini… crème brûlée. Now the breakdown of each plate: Crab cake w/greens /dressing — apricots salsa. 7⁄10 The«crab cake» $ 11.00 was great! The Antipasto –good price at $ 11.00 per /eg: more of a Mediterranean style with Mussels /shrimp /scallops /charcuterie 6⁄10 Linguini carbonara — good portion /No flavor 3⁄10 ½ order size Salmon linguini — good flavor /good portion. ½ order size Crème Brûlée — time from order to table less than 5 min. It tasted like Jello Pudding w/caramelized sugar on top. Over all 3 out of 5… Been there done that! Not again!

A standby Italian for us. The Man claims it has the best ever spaghetti and meatballs. Decent price, popular, white tablecloth but not fancy schmancy.

I don’t know how many times I drove by this place going to and from home. Finally, last year a friend of mine suggested we try it. We’ve been back a few times and each time is excellent. This is one of my «I need a great meal» reliable choices on the North Shore. Bonus that it’s a five minute walk from my home.
