Not impressed with the service! Ordered tea and the waitress brought me coffee. Corrected her and I probably waited 10 minutes for my tea. General breakfast food ok. Won’t go back because of the service!

It blows my mind that this place would have anything higher than a single star review. Myself, my mother, and my friend went for a late dinner last night. It was not our first or even third visit and we didn’t have very high expectations but nothing prepared us for the appalling experience overall. Having worked in a similar industry, I understand how things can go downhill or forgotten about in peak or busy hours. This was approximately 12am. After seeing our order waiting in the window for much too long I decided to call for«hands» myself. That’s when our food arrived at our table. Firstly, we waited an hour and a half for the meals, which had to be returned and remade due to it being cold and/or stale. To shorten this up a little bit ill just put the rest in bullet note form. –Having napkins tossed on our bench, where many people sit, spill, etc. –No quality check(«how is everything doing so far») whatsoever. –Pancakes arrived undercooked in the centre –Watching the staff seat and complete other tables in the in the amount of time we had been waiting for our(first) plates of food. –Watching staff«canoodling» behind the counter while customers from many tables glance over and clearly trying to get attention. –When I approached the manager regarding these issues after the meal(«meal») the server(«Eric Z») picked up a small barely relevant comment I had made to the manager and barged into the conversation and proceeded to raise his(a mid-40s ~6’5″) voice at me(a 5’4″ young woman) refusing to allow me to finish my sentence or my side of the story and rather told me that I –was– done talking as his volume increased and stares and glares were shared. I have never been spoken to in that manner by anyone in the customer service industry, and I am a very tolerant person who knows how to approach a conversation without it escalating to the point that it did. I was left in tears and our compensation was the price of the home fries and one other item was removed from our bill. Not only would I rather go hungry than step foot in that establishment again but I strongly advice anyone else to seek food elsewhere, even if you don’t care about low quality diner food. I’m still in disbelief and I’ve had time to sleep on it. TL;DR: I was yelled at by the middle aged server after being even more disrespected throughout the service and reduced to tears by the end of the experience.

Finally! A breakfast spot in the Falls that doesn’t disappoint! Big plates packed with yummy food and cheerful service to boot! We have done IHOP, Applebee’s and are always so bummed out by the skimpy portions and overpriced menu. The interior is bright and Art Deco, you feel like you’re at a real restaurant, not just a tourist trap.

Never coming back again: ordered a veggie burger and fries came out so burnt! I could get an ulcer if I ate them. They forgot to bring my topping for my veggie burger — mushrooms. I had to ask for them. They brought them out in about 30 seconds– tasted like microwaved mushrooms from the can. Not worth the prices. Never again.

We came here for Christmas eve. Really bad from the beginning. The host asked us to sit while we waited for a table, when I realized few minutes later, he was sitting other people that came after us. I stood up and told him we were still waiting and he finally assigned us to a table. I ordered a cheese cake which didn’t taste as cheesecake at all. It tasted like it was there since yesterday. We also ordered calamari and they were really bad too. They were all soggy and the breading was falling apart. A really bad experience. I thought that because is a restaurant inside of the casino would be really nice food, but unfortunately it was disappointed.

Food here is always great. Service is even better. It’s a 24 hrs diner. And if your not a big eater make sure you share your plate as they give me portion of everything here. My husband and I always share plates for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food is typical diner fare, breakfast is better than lunch and they serve all day, so suggest ordering off the breakfast menu. Service is EXCELLENT so it makes up for the okay food. If you get something such as toast, try their inhouse jams — AMAZING. You can also buy them to go. Convenient location inside the mall, close to the casino. We had several meals at The Famous, mostly do to location vs. food. For the location, price was reasonable, a bit high but again for the location reasonable. Portions are very large.

Had the macaroni & cheese and it was the best I’ve ever had. Creamy and decadent, with chopped fresh red & yellow bell peppers sprinkled on top, it gave a delicious crunchy bite to the dish.

Absolutely wonderful service. The food was on point as well. Now listen up! This is not your 5 star white table cloth restaurant. This is a high quality good meal kind of place. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Rest rooms were clean and prices were good too.

My boyfriend, family, and I stayed in Niagara Falls for one night, but during that night we didn’t know what or where to eat. After walking around aimlessly we stumbled upon The Famous and decided to eat here instead. The atmosphere and décor is similar to the ones in New York and such, but not as big since it is located in vicinity of the casinos and shopping. The staff and our waitress was extremely attentive and pleasant. She was very on point when it came to refilling drinks, bringing us extra napkins when we needed it, and etc. Chicken Noodle Soup — Everyone in my table ordered this, but me. The chicken noodle soup didn’t look too appetizing and was a little salty. I liked that it was accompanied with a piece of toast. Crispy Calamari with Marinara Sauce — The calamari was mediocre, not as crispy as I had hoped. It tasted really plain and unseasoned. Buffalo Chicken Burger — My boyfriend ordered this and he thought it was really crispy, crunchy, and super filling. The burger was massive! Turkey Burger — The turkey burger sounded really good so I ordered it and asked for mushrooms as well. I really enjoyed the turkey burger because it was seasoned just perfectly and super filling. The fries were fried to perfection as well. There were other foods, but I didn’t get to try and taste them. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed their food very much, I know I did for the most part. I am glad The Famous didn’t quite disappoint us and exceeded our expectations. Next time, we are in Niagara Falls, I would love to come back here again.

BESTWAFFLE I’ve eaten in my life. I went to fuel café and it was closed at 12. Come on! People want to wake up late when they are on vacation. So I followed the next recommendation on Unilocal which was the famous. They serve breakfast at any hour which is great and the menu is very good to. But I’m from mexico and really wanted to try Canadian maple syrup so I ordered waffles which I love. They were Fluffy and soft and SOGOOD! And the maple was 100%, delicious! didn’t want to finish them. They had strawberries which was an excellent combination and the coffee was really good too. Waitress was very nice and the place is nice too. I recommend it a lot!

This would be more like 3.5 stars considering convenient location. It is right in the middle of the casinos so it is very convenient location. We went for the breakfast. It must have been the day of the week but it was kind of slow. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Bacons were thick and really good. Toasts were large and well done. Be warned that portions are large, even the children versions. Omelet can only choose three toppings and it had too much egg. This was below par.

Had planned to go to the Grand Buffet for dinner, not realizing that with our kids we wouldn’t be able to walk through the casino to get to it. We were very disappointed to be eating dinner at The Famous as a backup, but were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Our table ate the Buffalo Chicken Burger, a Cheeseburger, the Chicken Noodle Soup, and the kids meals hot dog. Everything tasted great, and I thought the prices were very reasonable considering the area. Our waitress was pleasant and although she wasn’t the fastest I had ever seen, she more than got the job done. All in all it was a good experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Unfortunately I do not remember. Thank you for your follow up and with your concerns I hope a more consistent service could be expected.

We got all dressed up ready for a fancy dinner over at the Casino however our place of choice was full(and rude!) so we decided to have fun diner food in our dress clothes. It’s a cute retro style diner and we originally wanted to curved booths but appreciated that the hostess informed us that it would probably be too small for a group of four. Service was quick and friendly and the typical diner food tasted good! Bonus points for carrying beer and wine. The cream pies are delish!

The famous diner is located in the casino. It’s a very large diner, Art Deco style with plenty of booths. The staff are very friendly but seem to take their time. As soon as we sat down and figured out what we wanted it took staff around 15 minutes to take our order and the diner wasn’t even busy. The food was good, huge servings, I ordered the meatloaf and I couldn’t even see the plate. I ate so much but by the time I ate myself into a food coma it looked like I hardly touched the plate. The chocolate cake is pretty delicious!

Came here for dinner and left full and happy. Huge diner style menu, something for everyone here. I ordered the chickpea fritter wrap, and my friend ordered the french toast. We were both quite pleased with the food. Service was ok. Only complaint is that it took FOREVER for the waitress to bring the check over to us after she came to pick up our plates. Had to flag her down for her to come back.

Came at around 1030pm. Service was slow considering it wasn’t busy at all. Menu looks like it hasn’t been revised since 1980’s. House salad was dreadful, wasn’t even offered any dressing for it. Chicken BLT: standard BLT with house roasted chicken breast $ 15 + $ 4 extra for fries. Pre made chicken noodle soup with half a toast!!! Herbed half chicken visually looked good but wasn’t seasoned, under seasoned mashed potatoes(maybe powdered), chicken au jus was bland and the roasted veges were boiled. Like i said it reflected the dull 1980’s menu which needs to revised considering its right next to a casino. Servers seemed nice but service could have been better.

Located in the lobby area of the Fallsview Casino, this place runs 24 hours. We came here for breakfast one morning. The service was average, we had to remind her to get the kids drinks, she had to correct our pronunciation of Chala bread as well. The coffee kept coming which was good. The food was good right out of the kitchen, but as always with kids, they don’t like to sit and eat, it seems like they like to prolong the meal. As the meal cooled off it got a heavy taste of lard or butter and quickly went downhill. The prices were average, overpriced, for the area. There are better places nearby I’m sure.
