The ice cream here is really good. This is my 2nd visit here. They provide lots of options. Pretty tasty!

Excellent gelato! Do yourself a favor, your on vacation! Don’t go to the same tired chain restaurants and shops you always go to. Check out this place! My wife had this awesome dessert dish with gelato, whipped cream, lady fingers, and a shot of espresso to pour over it. It was epic! I had a hazelnut in a waffle cone. So good! There is also a good steak restaurant right across the street. They make a perfect pair!

Such a mundane name for such a cool place, pun intended. Yes they have gelato aka«Italian Ice Cream». With a variety of flavors I will always judge a place by whether or not they have my 2 favorite flavors or not if they want to call themselves gelato slingers. If they are missing one of my flavors they will fail plain and simple. Italian Ice Cream however had both of my flavors so they passed with flying colors, just like their gelato’s rainbow and shades of glorious tastiness. Oh my favs are hazelnut(nocciola) and lemon together. One is sweet and creamy and the other clears the palate. Yummy! This place is also licensed so if you want a beer to go with that gelato, sure… and they have other food like paninis etc so yes they are not just an ice cream shop. This place has been here a long time and for a frozen treat in a tourist area it’s not that expensive that being it’s under 5 bucks for a large. The sizes are 1, 2, 3, or 4 scoops. In ordering terms that’s baby, small, medium and large. They offer take home sizes(trays) too. They also seem to have more tables outside than they do inside.

We found this place off of reviews from Unilocal. The Gelato is probably one of the best in the area. We have already been here a few times and look forward to visiting again very soon.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place as we found ourselves hungry on the wrong side of Clifton Hill on a hot summer day. We thought some ice cream would tide us over before we could find a proper meal. We were so happy to have wandered in here. This is some of the best gelato we’ve ever had. Authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced. The girl working the counter was very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much and kept talking about it that we made sure to visit again before we left town — almost missing a guided tour in the process! I paired up the mango & raspberry ices which was fantastic. My girlfriend had the mint chocolate chip and the salt water taffy. I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll be back!

A rare example of successful local business in Niagara Falls, Italian Ice Cream is a summer staple for me. You won’t find better ice cream/gelato anywhere, but isn’t just about the frozen treats this is also the best place to grab a coffee downtown. An authentic European café in a great spot, with a nice patio, and good prices. This is the summer in Niagara, and you’ll be hooked.

Maybe this is good for the Niagara Falls area, but being a Bay Area person and having Gelateria Naia and a host of other places that make really good gelato, this just wasn’t remarkable in any way.

If you are in Niagara, simply the place to indulge for a cooldown with some homemade Italian gelatto. Had the affogatto with peach, hazelnut and mint choco with lady fingers. They also have ice cream cakes and gelatto pops which we had for takeout. Did I mention they have WiFi. Guess that is the best part, :). The ladies that were working the counter were very friendly and top notch customer service!!! Parking is at the back. Highly recommended!

We were referred here by the folks at Antica Pizza, and we’re really glad we were! There was a nice selection of 20 or so gelato flavors, and all three of us enjoyed ours immensely. I’ve been a big fan of salted caramel ice cream for years, especially as a compliment to another flavor. Here they have Sea Salt Toffee gelato, which served that same purpose. I combined it with banana for a wonderful flavor combination. My girlfriend had pistachio with banana. I typically don’t like pistachio ice cream, but the pistachio gelato here was pure, creamy deliciousness. We are planning another trip across the border tonight for more!

I haven’t been in Canada that long but once I heard of this treat I had to go. Try the Canadian famous lemon ice and the raspberry. Very tasty and sour. Good pricing and area Is very comfortable. Waffle cone is also home-ade as well

We stopped here because it was close to our hotel. Very good, creamy gelato. I tried a combo of Spumoni and Nutella flavors and loved it. Friendly service and good seating indoors or on the outdoor patio with umbrella tables. Prices pretty reasonable for the area too. Definitely recommend.

Great selection of sorbettos(dairy free)! I got a medium which had 3 scoops so that I could try 3 flavors. The flavors I tried were cherry, peach and mango. All were good but cherry was my favorite. I am so glad that our waiter from dinner the night before told us about this place. It is not in an obvious location so if you are visiting town take the address with you.

OMG. It’s been 6 months since we visited Italian ice cream and I still dream about this ice cream! Our server at Sandstone Grill recommended that we try the tiramisu. Sorry to say, they were out. So we tried the pistachio instead. This is the most amazing ice cream ever! It’s sort of a fresh, organic type of ice cream. Not the usual sugary sweet stuff. Pure and simple goodness. Should have brought home a gallon.

We went here after having dinner at the Sandstone Grillhouse across the street. They had a TON of gelato flavors to choose from. We chose the chocolate caramel brownie. It tasted like chocolate gelato sans caramel and a wee crumb of brownie in it. That was disappointing but it was still decent.(Just wanted the actual taste of everything named in the gelato) But if you eat it there it’s served in this cold metal bowl with a metal gelato spade to eat it with. Charming. I’d go back if in the area, just might try something else.
