Pay for good tacos and get average tacos. Skimpy on the ingredients and none of the staff seem like they even care to be there at all. Seemed like I was a nuisance when I walked in the door. I would not return to this place.

One of the many food options in Queensborough Landing. Parking is available around the building. For some reason, the layout of the building looks suspiciously like a former Subway location. Not saying that’s the case. Just feels that way. Cleanliness was average. Staff were helpful but seemed a bit bored. Then again, it was a quiet evening. The beef burrito was mediocre. Not sure if these things are supposed to be mushy all over, but at least the tortilla stayed somewhat dry. To be fair, it was filled with stuff. And one can’t really go wrong with pico de gallo. At $ 8, the price was reasonable. With that said, I found the entire experience rather uninspiring. Maybe it was the atmosphere. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’m not sure I’ll be back.

This is the closest TDM to me, even though its a bit of a drive, but worth it to me! Pretty great for Mexican fast food, big portions, pretty reasonable prices. I really don’t like that they charge for sour cream, I can understand for guac as avocadoes can be expensive and you have to make it, but sour cream from a tub that you probably buy at bulk for a cheaper cost because you’re a restaurant?! Other than that, food is yummy, and seems fresh, and staff is helpful and friendly — 4 stars to them — minus 1 due to the extra charge for sour cream!

DISGUSTING! ordered 2 soft tacos got back to work which is 5 min away they were soggy, tasteless, and the ingredients including the chicken tasted like they were days old! Stay away from this place at all costs!

The service here is on par with the other posted reviews; very poor, rude, and basically unbelievable for people working in the service industry. I usually go to the one on 6th st. In New West, they’re good. At this location, my platter was ½ the size I’m used to getting. I came in just before 930, they close at 10. When asked if it was to go I politely asked if it was ok I stayed to eat. I got the same«eye rolling» another reviewer experienced. Anyways, wouldn’t recommend this location, go to the one in 6th St. in New West.

Just a tad smaller than their Bridegport Richmond location, and their signature round table with the roof is at the back instead lol. For fast food, it’s actually good value, big size and comparable to Red Burrito… actually for comfort food delivered to your house, RB does win the edge here but i digress… wifi here. offers catering. In Queensborogh landing beside the Bell store.

It is what it is, a chain after all. I went to the one in New West. The staff were nice. The food wasn’t authentic Mexixan, I didn’t expect it to be. My enchilada plater was good, I was satisfied and my sons Burito was good he said. The place was very clean and I got what I paid for.

Honestly I am so disappointed in this taco restaurant. First they are not very helpful when asking questions about their own products. I ordered the 2 taco deal and was shocked at the amount of meat they put in the taco. I should of ordered a vegetarian taco, I would of got more cheese at least. They gave me a taco of Salsa, just Salsa. It had so much salsa that my entire taco was soggy and all it tasted like was tomatoes. They were scarce with the cheese, sauce, and other fillings. Basically taco shell and salsa. Disgusting. Worst part of this is they could be a great Mexican restaurant, the meat is good if they give any, and the ingredients were fresh. It’s the cheapness and rudeness that sinks them. Worst $ 9 I ever spent. Will never go back here.

I am a huge sucker for the chicken enchiladas! HUGE sucker! It’s my go to comfort food, and you get a lot of food for the price! I have never had any problems with service, or the food.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how grumpy the staff looked — it was obvious that none of them wanted to be there. Their attitude kind of made me want to get out and leave. I didn’t, though, because I had already walked through the doors and was short on time for my lunch break… I decided to order the taco salad, and she asked which kind of meat I wanted. I asked if it was the same price for beef and chicken, and she responded with«Obviously. Where has it been a different price? «I swear she threw in a very obvious eye-roll too, and I just stayed friendly responding with«just an honest question…» The food was mediocre, but the worst thing about this place was the service. Gross.

Taco Del Sh*t. McDonald’s could make better tacos if they wanted to. I just shoulda listened to my gut. Wanting a change from my normal go-to place, I figured it couldn’t be too bad. Holy guacamole was I proved wrong. I ordered carne asada and fish tacos. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the women pull mystery pre-fried fish meat from a mystery compartment and headed for the microwave. I should have walked away at this point. I’ll start with a couple positives. The lettuce and tomato were as fresh as you can get from fast food. Whoop de doo. Now onto the dirt. Both meats were ridiculously salty. Like an injection of salt intravenously salty. Considering complaining would fall on deaf, powerless ears, I ate as much as I could stomach as I was starving, then ran away. Felt like sh*t at work after. Don’t suffer. Stay away.

If you go to a place like Taco Del Mar, or Chronic Taco expecting an authentic Mexican cuisine experience, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. Taco Del Mar is to Mexican food what Manchu Wok is to Chinese food. Once you accept that you can have a fairly satisfying dining experience. The premise here is pretty simply, some combination of meat/cheese/rice/bean wrapped in a corn or flour based vessel of some sort with an array of latin-ish toppings. The quality is pretty good and always consistent. If you skip the combo’s(which is far too much food anyways) the price is quite reasonable for what you get. The service here is friendly and quick.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst taco experiences. I grew up in Vancouver and lived in Los Angeles for 3 years. I have had some amazing Mexican food in Los Angeles and the tacos at Taco Del Mar were abysmal. I know that we don’t have many Latino citizens in New Westminster, let alone Vancouver, but so far, I have not found a single decent Mexican Restaurant in this city. Such a disappointment! I was curious and hungry before shopping, so I decided to give this restaurant a try. I ordered the 2 taco meal for $ 5.29(which doesn’t include any sides or drinks and is already highway robbery compared to the prices in LA for tacos. You can buy 2 tacos for less than $ 2USD). Anyways, I got one chicken taco and one shredded beef taco — both on soft corn tortillas. The meat was too wet and had no flavor. Too many ingredients were piled on top of the meat, and on top of the corn tortillas. The medium sauce was not too bad, but what got me were the corn tortillas. At first, I was quite excited that they had the tin foil per taco underneath two sizeable corn tortillas. They looked good. However, when I tried to pick up the tacos, the bottom of the corn tortilla was wet and slimy. The tortillas were undercooked and cold. When chewing, the tortillas were wet and crunchy at the same time(which doesn’t even make sense, but hard to explain). I was so disappointed and sad for this place. They should invite a famous chef to come and reinvigorate this place with real ingredients and learn the proper way of making Mexican food. Or the manager should go to Los Angeles or San Diego and get some training. Over-priced and INAUTHENTIC. My lesson learned: don’t expect authentic Mexican food in Vancouver.
