Great, friendly, very helpful staff. Store is small so they don’t have everything you might be looking for but they can get it for you in a day or two(depending on what you order). If you need little hardware such as a tool or some paint ect… This is a good place.

I am not the sort of person for whom DIY projects or fixing stuff will ever be fun. But I’m a grown-up homeowner, so sometimes things break down. And the thought of going to one of those enormous warehouse places … well, let’s just say if I have to get around to that, things will bloody well stay broken. Luckily, Rona opened a small-format hardware location in my town. It’s funny that this seems like some revolutionary concept, when in fact, neighbourhood hardware stores used to be the norm. Anyway, My Little Rona is stocked with a more than adequate supply of the essentials, from paint and um, things that come in tubes(you know the ones I’m talking about?), to plumbing fixtures and gardening supplies. It’s extraordinarily non-intimidating to shop, the staff are ridiculously helpful, and they can order just about anything from one of their bigger stores for you, even just to have a look. I don’t own a car, but I can get there on my trusty bike, and it’s also just a couple blocks from New West SkyTrain. Handy!

I wanted to buy baseboards on Saturday– I came into the store and the style I wanted was out of stock. I understand that the store is small and can’t carry everything but if you do carry it– keep it in stock! I spoke to an associate who told me that they would be able to get them shipped over from Edmonds for Monday. The man took my information down and told me he would call when they were in. Today(Tuesday) I went in to inquire– and they had been replenished but just out on the floor. No one put them on hold for us, and we didn’t get a phone call letting us know they are in. I was disappointed in the lack of communication and customer service.

Small store. Good service. I am not handy at all. The two times that I have been there, the staff was able to translate my charades and«you know, that thingy, thing that goes with the whatta whatta.» Like the location, once they get a grocery store back in the plaza, it will be a well rounded retail centre again. Lots of free parking, but for some reason the shoppers that drive in the parking lot are complete idiots. More so than other parking lots including Richmond Costco. I digress, this is not Rona’s fault. Just keep it in mind when you enter the lot. Brain cells apparently die.

Really glad they opened this small store in New West near the skytrain. I’ve been there 4 or 5 times and always found exactly what I needed. The staff is super helpful and it’s not too busy so you always find help right away. Like another reviewer said, a welcome change from the big box stores.

The location recently opened close to my home. It definitely makes running out for picture hanging screws or other household items VERY handy. It’s a small location but anything can be shipped to this store. The couple of times I have been here the staff have been really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back but since I am not the handy one around the house, my husband will be here more :)!.

Smart of Rona to put this new concept Rona in this location. Close to high density housing this Rona is like your local hardware store, not the BIGBOX stores you need to drive 30 minutes to get to, then park and walk 5 min to get to the store. If you need your essential hardware material in a convenient location, give this place a try. If you still can’t find it, then go drive the 30 minutes to the BIGBOX store.
