Marcelo’s is the only honest mechanic I have found in Vancouver. After having gone there about 4 or 5 times now and always leaving with a working car and a smile on my face, he has my business for as long as I live here.
Service is quick, and they have always charged me the same or lower than the rate I am first quoted. If you ask nicely, they also give discounts for students.
Marcelo himself is often at the shop but the other guys working there are just as nice and thorough. I took my car in for an oil change once and they noticed my steering was a bit loose and tightened it for me free of charge!
Maybe the only downside to his shop is that it can be a bit difficult to get in and out of it when there is a lot of traffic, as people on Columbia won’t let you in.
