Genie’s Stitch and Dry Cleaners

I’m sorry the other reviewer had a bad experience. I’ve only used them to shorten pants and they’ve always been fine for that. Ready on time, professional job.

I’m afraid I also had a bad experience here. After having clothing altered there for many years, I brought in my curtains to be dry cleaned. I picked them up hung them up and one curtain was a good six inches shorter than the other. Now being a busy mom it took me some time to get back in there to tell them. I brought in a photo and they said they needed the curtains. It took a few months but I finally brought back in the curtains. They promised to call about it and never did. When I went to pick up some pants that were being altered they told me they had never dry cleaned the curtains and that I must have washed them myself. So, basically they accused me of lying. I was outraged, went back through my bank records and found the receipt and went back in — for the 4^th time now. They finally told me that the dry cleaning policy is that they’re not responsible for anything after 14 days so offered me nothing. It’s too bad since if they had simply refunded my $ 30 in dry cleaning I would have considered still using them for alterations. I will now take my business elsewhere.
