As a family with severe food allergies you would think that Chinese food would be off the menu. When we call to order the person on the phone is always very helpful to our request and guides us in the right direction to what we can order and what we can’t.Great job all restaurants should be like this but a lot are not. And we always enjoy the food, fresh hot and very tasty. Try the general tao’s chicken one of my fav’s. We tried another dish we had never had before, Spicy beef with eggplant very good. When we want Chinese food Cathay is our choice.

On the way home from Cathay, we spotted an ALBINO raccoon and it should have been considered a bad omen. Why do these restaurants keep churning out food that LOOKS good but tastes like nothing? Zero flavor. How can you mess up fried rice?! I’ve eaten better fried rice at Tiki Ming, and that place really STINKS! So disappointing. To make matters worse, they accidentally gave us an extra container of fried rice. It was quite the dilemma cuz what was I suppose to do with this thing when all the garbage cans were filled to the rim with the first two containers of cathay fried rice and burnt up cathay egg rolls???
They’ve got to be kidding me with this food. The general tao was a joke, the chilli sauce aint scaring NOBODY, a baby could eat that chilli sauce! And Cathay, you forgot our fortune cookies. Normally one should be excited for leftovers but I woke up in a cold sweat twice hoping that it was all just some cruel nightmare. But it wasn’t, I really can’t believe how subpar everything was. If you like Chinese food but don’t really care what it tastes like, I recommend Cathay. The only reason I chose Cathay was because NOTHINGELSE was available. You sealed your fate when you tampered with a classic fried rice recipe Cathay. For shame! 2 Stars!
