I had a really good experience at this store. the best deal on movies I’ve found anywhere on the island or the lower mainland! I live in Burnaby, and I’m making it a point to go there once a month when passing through on my way south to the Cowichan Valley. Despite the«young» staff, I found them very helpful both in accessing the cabinets, selecting my movies, asking opinions and even help with the electronics(which I need little). All in all, this is the best pawn/used video/electronics store I’ve ever been to… and that’s saying a lot because I’ve not only shopped at a LOT of them(between BC and Alberta), I’ve also worked in many of them. Give them a chance, leave your attitude(we all have one, myself included) at home, be fair and realistic. You won’t be disappointed!

Nanaimo was my destination this day to visit my friend Karin for coffee and conversation. Our first stop was to pick up a CD player at StockXChangers. At first glance, I’m thinking«Hey, lots of stuff here, good store, lots of room.» We look around and come up with a player to test. The salesman was very helpful, taking the unit over to their test room, and asked us to pick a CD from their racks for testing. After much thought, we came up with a CD for testing, unfortunately the Player would not co-operate and refused to recognize it. We located a second player, and took that in for testing. Another CD was gathered, finally it did work(in 1 spot anyway of the 5 … it was a 5CD player) OK, Karin pays for the player, and then asks the salesman to carry it out to the car for her. FIne right? Well, you guessed it … once home the CD player did NOT work, and when Karin returns it to the store, she hears from the now tall blonde saleswoman«You gave our salesman a difficult time, treating him miserably», so they would NOT refund her $, giving her a voucher instead. Needless to say, I did NOT see, hear any such treatment. This is a store we will NOT be returning to, nor will we recommend it to anyone. Positives? There’s a Tims nearby.
