I like it. That should be enough ;-) Takara has been around for a while(it may have changed ownership in recent years, however) and is located in Les Cours Mont-Royal. Frankly, it’s prety well hidden so if you don’t already know it’s there, you likely won’t stumble upon it by accident. It’s fairly spacious and has private rooms for small groups; there’s a hole right under the tables so you give off the illusion of sitting on a tatami but you’re not. Sneaky! I’ve only stopped in for lunches, and have had good experiences each time. The fish is fresh, the presentation is good and prices are very reasonable. You can order à la carte, or go for one of their Bento boxes, which include a variey of rolls and other tasty items. It’s usually pretty busy at lunch so get there early or call ahead to book a table.
