We simply love this restaurant! I grew up in an Italian-American household in Arizona, and as you may imagine the only authentic Italian cuisine to be sampled at that time was prepared by my mother and my grandmother. My mother and her mother always stayed true to their roots and the Italian food that came out of their respective kitchens was rich in family tradition and history. While eating at Tartufo d’Oro the first time, I was immediately transported to my childhood when I was served a warm plate of hot Crochette di Pesce. I was overcome with nostalgia. I have never had Crochette di Pesce outside of my family’s home. And these Crochette di Pesce were so light and delicious, they could have rivaled my grandmother’s. The homemade pasta is wonderful, too! We bring our daughter when we eat here and she is treated like a princess. Also, the ambiance is classy and upscale however the prices are very reasonable. Simply a wonderful family-run Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. Buon appetito!
