Small grocery store just a few step away from Laurier Metro Station(St-Joseph exit). This is the place in the area where I have found the widest variety of organic, local, and/or sustainable food and household supplies. They have a small section of fresh organic produce, but unfortunately not all of them are local. They have a lot of non-perishable items(e.g., jam, nuts products, pasta). They have organic dairy, eggs, meats, and fish. At the back of the store you can find eco-friendly detergents, soaps, wrapping supplies, etc. The staff is friendly, and they accept credit cards. Their prices for organic foods are pretty much the same as in most other grocery stores in Montréal – i.e., somewhere between«a bit pricy» and«too expensive», depending on the product and what you are willing to pay for organic products. For organic eggs, milk, and yogurt, I still have not found any place cheaper than Segal’s, but that store does not offer organic the fresh fruits and vegetables that I find at 3 piliers. For frozen meats, the selection is much wider at 3 piliers, and they prices are equivalent to Segal’s. Enjoy your organic shopping :)
