I don’t wear make-​up very often; maybe, a couple of times per month? So I need a place that understands that I am not interested in layering creams, and finishes and foundations, etc. I want a basic kit that I can use to dress up for just about any occasion. MAC gets this and the ladies at the Ogilvy location seem to really get it.
My last visit, I was taking advantage of their Back to MAC program, where six empty (or not) cosmetic containers will get you a lipstick or eyeshadow of you choosing. There is a limit of four (24 containers) at one time I learned when I bought in mine.
I discussed my preferences with one of the sales girls and we chose 2 lipsticks and 2 eyeshadows for me to use. They actually are subtile enough that I have worn them almost everyday to date! Totally cost: $ 0!
