Le bar est fermé jusqu’à nouvel ordre mais s’il rouvre, je vous le recommande, surtout l’été pour sa grande terrasse! Bonnes bières, bonne bouffe!

This my go-to place in the Quartier Latin to catch up with friends over a few beers. I’ve spent most of my time here on the terasse, which I consider to be one of the best in Montréal. Overshadowed by its more famous neighbour Bar Saint-Sulpice, relatively few people know of this establishment. Located on Saint-Denis between de Maisonneuve and Ontario, this bar carries a bit of the«punk-rock» vibe that permeates around the Quartier Latin. Although not as massive as the one at Saint-Sulpice, the terasse here is voluminous and has the added advantage of opening up directly on Saint-Denis. The bar furniture is nothing fancy, just a bunch of cheap plastic tables and chairs. Service is pretty good, and the terasse seems to attract a wide, varied crowd. They have a beer selection on tap that’s as affordable as it varied. You can drink bad tasting beer on the cheap, or you can choose to try more obscure beers such as the delicious Rosée D’hibiscus(it’s pink!). I haven’t spent much time inside the actual bar, nor have I been here at night. Based on my experiences on the terasse, however, I’d recommend to anyone to stop by and enjoy a nice cold pitcher of pink beer. It’s good, I swear!

Um… Where is the Rest of It… Le Saint Ciboire is a good hang out with a great terrace but I will be the first one to say that they have small shot glasses. This seems to be an accepted custom east of St. Denis, the ¾oz shot. To this I say, take your small glasses and… um…fill them… I’m going to Hurley’s. Waka waka

Lively terrasse that can accommodate large groups, loud rock music playing in the back, but not so great selection of beers, or other drinks for that matter. My friends and I came here to start our night off before our little pub crawl along St. Denis, which was fine and that’s probably all I’d come here for.
