I’m not impressed. This boutique hotel got much pleasant reviews elsewhere, but I feel it’s a little lacking. The hotel itself is pretty cute, with a place to grab drinks in the front of the lobby. Rooms are unique and nice. Rooms are stocked with water in a glass carafe, free wifi, included breakfast from 7:30 — 10:00am. Where it starts to fall apart is the service/management and ambiance of the hotel itself. We were«lucky» enough to get the ground floor room – which is basically in the lobby. When I checked in, I turned around and the door to the room was a few feet behind me! I wouldn’t have minded so much, but the lobby was SOLOUD! The noise was from 1) drunk guests of the lobby bar, 2) the music which went on all night, and 3) the bartender who stomped by our door every 5 minutes to restock her bar. I honestly cannot understand how anyone sleeps in this hotel. It’s a small building and the volume of music I’m sure could be heard throughout! The other thing which I just found odd… The room comes with a keurig that uses those coffee/tea pods. I was pleased they had green tea pods, so after I used the one in the room, I asked for another one. NOONEKNEWWHAT I WASASKINGFOR. The staff ended up digging up some tea bags from their kitchen – cool… But I would imagine there would be basic knowledge of what the rooms are stocked with. I think with these few fixes/considerations, it would be a much more pleasant stay.
