Came in near closing time with the family on vacation. I had the oxtail and wife had the jerk chicken. Both were fall off the bone tender with a nice kick. The owner (???) walked down the hall to get us a flyer for a local fair when we asked her about Afro-​Carribean art galleries. She was very nice and helpful. Next time I go to Montréal, I will seek this place out.

I have been to la Fierte Caribeenne a few times for lunch. I had the Goat Curry, the Chicken Curry, the Jerk Chicken and the various patties. Everything was always really flavorful, fresh and really tasted home-​made. Staff is really nice also.
If you are from the Caribean (or from the South in general), the food will take you home.
If you are not, it will make you travel.
I love it.
