This is a fantastic little café in the old city. The building itself is very nice and cosy, with a lot of seating for its size. Their location is also a great one, surrounded by a lot of things to do! The people working there are very friendly and kind. They all speak French and English, at least that I know of, and are more than willing to have an interesting conversation. Their croissants were fantastic and their coffee tastes great. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service? Sign me up!

Coffee is quite good. The service is usually very friendly, depending who you get. The owner is very kind. The space itself is semi-comfortable and has loft ceilings. For me it’s not a place I want to sit down in. I’ve tried the tuna wrap which is quite good. There are many other food items to choose from that I haven’t tried. Overall a good place to grab a quick decent coffee and perhaps sit down and chat. Ambiance is lacking in my opinion. But I prefer cozy cafes.

Stopped by here for a lunch break after touring the Notte Dame Basilica. The chicken brie wrap and freddo cappuccino were amazing! I love the cozy atmosphere. Free wifi is also a bonus.

The perfect place to grab coffee and pastries. Had a great soy latte and chocolate croissant fresh out of the oven. I heard that the breakfast sandwiches were great too. Enough seating to fit everyone who stops by. Easy to find, right on a main street in Vieux Montréal. The staff was super friendly and everyone spoke French and English. Definitely recommended for a quick breakfast!

Such friendly service! Felt very welcomed. I enjoyed a steak panini with a side of bean salad and a cappuccino the size of my head. All were delicious and made with good quality ingredients. Perfect place for a filling breakfast or lunch and a really big cappuccino(which I was craving after drinking the tiny Montréal/European cappuccinos all week long). They have a dish/sandwich of the day as well, and other pastries. Definitely recommend this place. Perfect if you are eating alone or want a sandwich on the go.

Nice place, with a good vibe going on — the employees are very friendly, the food is good, the coffee is amazing — a definite repeat.

I stopped by Espace Café in the middle of a long day of touring Montréal – so a sugar/snack break was much needed. I popped in and ordered a Hot Chocolate and a Croissant for reasonable prices, which were ready in about 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes, I admired the beautiful two-level café space and connected to the ~free Wi-Fi~(you have to ask for the password though)! The Hot Chocolate was perhaps the most rich and comforting hot chocolate I have ever had! That, coupled with the buttery flaky melt-in-your-mouth Croissant, made my pit-stop at Espace Café a beautiful highlight of a very long day.

Loved the friendliness, the cool atmosphere, the latte, and the breakfast sandwich(bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel). The hazelnut chocolate croissant was divine! Totally forgot to take a pic before I jumped right in but I will be back tomorrow! They had wifi, the temperature was very comfortable and the music was just right! Definitely worth it for a breakfast spot! Seating is appropriate for the space.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch while visiting Montréal. The staff were very friendly and the food was supreme. We ordered the steak panani and one of the chicken paninis on the menu. Both were good size and very well made. I also had an espresso and she had a mocha. Again, both were very well prepared. Highly recommend, will definitely come back if we are ever in Montréal again! Total bill came to around $ 18, well worth it.

Simple and neat little café in the heart of the city. Nice place to take a break and grab a bite(alone or with friends). Their tuna wrap(get it toasted) was YUM. It comes in a pretty generous portion too. Definitely something worth ordering again if I was back in town. There is extra seating on an upper level with a small area that overlooks the street on a high chair(totally had a photo shoot moment there) which is pretty good if you want to read a book, go on your laptop and enjoy some coffee. They have a pretty big menu for a café their size so you do have a lot of choices. Food also comes to your table so you don’t have to stand at the door and wait for it. Service is also really casual and friendly. If you’re a coffee or latte fan, this is your place to visit(don’t forget to give their wraps a try).

To be honest I was quite disappointed with this café. The latte was not the best I’ve had. The food didn’t look appetizing. Not as much character as other nearby cafés. While I was there trying to work, they turned on the soccer game — really loud. Great if you’re looking for a game to watch, less ideal for quiet work.

Very happy with this café. I had an americano and a banana chocolate chip muffin(warmed up) and my girlfriend had the chicken wrap. The americano was excellent — one of the better ones I’ve had, and the muffin was also very good. The staff were extremely friendly and more than accommodating to us not speaking any French. I would happily recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are going to the Notre Dame Basilica as it was just around the corner. 4.5 stars

This is my favorite spot in old Montréal. I work around the corner from Espace café and I go there quite often. The customer service is as good as it’s food and coffee. They have the best mochaccino I’ve ever had. It can be a little bit expensive but it is worth every penny. I highly recommend.

I work right around the corner from here. From the choice of Starbucks, second Cup, Tim Horton’s, and plenty other entrepreneurs, I choose these guys every time. Great customer service and loyalty. I reccomend Espace Café for any coffee or pastry needs.

Free wifi. good friends of mine! They know how to make my iced caramel latte all customized for me. The espresso shots are fresh n smooth. Jon gave me my first shot of espresso. They are very nice. I also love their chicken sandwich with the sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and pesto sauce. Very nice décor, modern, and relax atmosphere :)

I must admit, for a few days, I wasn’t willing to give this café a shot, because I was feeling snobby and wanted to go somewhere more special. But my husband forced me to go because he wanted a sandwich. I didn’t eat the food here, so can’t really speak for that, but their espresso was so good! The fancier cafes I’d been to had crappy foam. I hate foam that’s all airy and just dies. The foam on my espresso macchiato was perfect. The menu is pretty small; they just have a few pastries and sandwiches, nothing extensive. And like I said, I didn’t eat. So my four star review is purely based on milk foam. Haha. BUT I do think that this place is worth popping into for a quick snack. The workers are really friendly and gave me a free muffin to nibble on, since we stopped in close to closing.
