Boulangerie & Charcuterie St Viateur

This is my go-​to spot for lunch at work and I LOVE IT! If you need some cheesy Italian comfort food and you need it fast and cheap, you need to come here.
The individual-​sized pizzas are AMAZING, especially the brie & tomato and the ricotta & spinach. You can get one for under $ 5 or get it with a drink and dessert for a couple dollars more. The calzones are good too. The sandwiches aren’t quite at the level of nearby sandwich experts Clark Street Deli, but still quite good, especially if you need a sandwich after 4pm. Larger pizzas and deli meats and cheeses by the gram are also available but I’ve never tried these. The morning combo — a coffee and a ham & cheese croissant for only a few bucks — is a winner.
One of the things I like best about this place is that it’s open til 7:30pm, which is super handy for grabbing food fast when I’m working late. There are many lunch places in the area but most are closed by 5.
I usually come for take-​out but there are a few tables and chairs in case you prefer to sit down (though in nice weather the Greek Orthodox church across the street is a nice place for a picnic). The service is fast and friendly and I’ve never seen it crowded!

Oh yum! Je n’en reviens pas que ça m’aura pris quelques années avant d’y mettre les pieds. Pendant une des fameuses foire d’artisanat à l’Église en face, j’avais une bonne faim et j’étais d’humeur à me chercher un bon sandwich. Dans le présentoir j’ai donc vu des sandwichs remplis de couleurs qui font saliver à première vue. Ils sont ouverts dans le présentoir, et en plus il y a des fiches descriptives, donc pas besoin de demander «c’est à quoi vos sandwichs? «À côté, il y a aussi une belle sélection de pointes (carrées) de pizza qui ont l’air autant savoureuses. Quand je suis donc repartie avec mon sandwich réchauffé, et que je me suis installée à mon siège à la foire, ça pris moins de 10 minutes avant que mon voisin de table revienne avec son propre sandwich tellement le mien sentait bon et a donné goût aux autres gens de la foire d’y aller pour le lunch!
